What is your opinion about Relationships within HubPages?
Would it be like facebook or any other social network? And is it wrong to flirt or be open about the relationship in HubPages?
Any relationship which nurtures the good in you is good. It needs to be pure ,honest and open. It can be anywhere, even on hub pages. Flirting is a waste of time. Both parties end up getting hurt. Better do something constructive and creative:-)
If your talking friend wise, I haven't really made any..yet. But I think hubpages is the perfect breeding ground for meaningful relationships with common values.
Well I believe that there can be a certain infatuation between two hubbers online. No, hubages isn't facebook nor a social network; it's a writing/reading space where people can sometimes find other people with the same interests, smart men or women, you name it; and that creates an attraction that only remains in the "infatuation" stage.
In spite of the fact that both parties have decided that it is a relationship, that you're boyfriend and girlfriend; that just can't be a REAL relationship with a long term result. There is a lot of needs in a real relationship that can't be satisfied via internet. And I'm not talking about sex or anything, I'm talking about hearing each others voices, smelling each others perfume, tiny details that make real love come through.
By no means is it wrong to flirt online within hubpages, but everything has a limit, try to be more private with that but If you insist on showing your love on "public" just add him/her to facebook and publish on his/her wall.
If you are on a virtual relatinship, there's nothing wrong with it but respect hubpages boundaries, don't forget this ISN'T a social network.
Hope thid was helpful, If you have any other doubt about relationships or anything don't hesitate on contacting me for help
I dont really understand why you would want to flirt on HubPages, or even discuss the relationship on HubPages. It just isn't the right platform.
However if you meet someone on HubPages then there is no reason why you cant take it further, exchange details and even talk on Facebook or on the phone. Still strikes me as a little weird, but maybe thats just me.
I think Hubpages is not meant to nurture other than friendly relationships. There are so many social networking sites and other avenues for that. Being open or frank to a point is okay here, I think.
Hubpages was a breath of fresh cyber air to me. A place to be and write freely about what is in my heart and mind. Never once did I find or desire to find a dating relationship here. There is online dating, Facebook, My Space and Twitter, among other online social networking.
However I feel I have made soulful connections and cyber met meaningingful people, full of love and dreams , and beautiful thoughts and feeling. I would hate to think that Hubpages would ever be a place to try to meet people for more than sharing and caring.
If by chance someone did find their soulmate here or want to engage in furthering a cyber friendship. I feel it should be taken away from this site, via exchanging phone numbers, add to a person social network (ex. Facebook or Twitter) .
Hub pages has a great pool of creative, talented and lovely people. Not bad if you find some one you can trust and want to take it further. I believe finding someone here won't be so bad because here we observed high level of professionalism and you will just be lucky enough to find a professional here. It's not wrong to flirt. Every relationship starts with conscious or unconscious flirting. Flirting in hub pages is not a bad idea at unless you observe good code of conducts here in hub pages. If you want to get a bit messy, cross over to Facebook..
Otherwise, you have my blessing to find a good writer lover here in hub pages if you play the cards right.
Cheers
Ian
I think it's okay to be friends or even find a mate here on HP, but once you have reached the flirting stage or a stage where it gets more meaningful than just exchange of pleasantries, you should take it private. That's means you can now communicate via private mail, phone or text. I don't think the other HP members need know what's going on. You might even get in trouble in the forums if you take it there.

If you haven't heard of Tsu, it's the "new big thing" in social media, a la a Facebook that pays, with well integrated hashtag system reminiscent of Twitter. In my opinion, it's better than ELLO, the other big new social media platform. You will not make a lot of money from Tsu. Being me,...
