   If you could revive (or extend) any TV series of the past 50 years, which would it be, and why?

   I think it would have to be Charmed and Ghost Whisperer for my daughter, because she loves those. For me I think The Flying Doctors and Blue Heelers. They would have to be the ones that I would like revived.

   Star Trek, Next Generation was my favorite and also Startgate SG1.  Enjoyed both of those, ST first run and Stargate I got into on DVD. 
   
   Why?  I think the interaction between the characters.  If the series is a serious one, the I like a little humor between characters. I also like the relationships to be developed between the characters...it makes you feel more invested in the series and gives more a sense of realism.

   It's definitely 'I Love Lucy' 'cos Lucy is so adorable and hilarious! I guess most of you may not have heard of this series 'cos it it was in the '60s.

   I would want to revive or extend Friends.  I have yet to come across a comedy on television that is so consistently funny.  Now that my daughter is 13, we spend a great deal of time watching it together.  To me, it really was a funny and heartwarming show.

   "Firefly".  No question. Fox really badly handled this Joss Whedon sci-fi gem largely because Fox didn't understand its audience.  Firefly only ran 13 episodes and Fox bounced it around the schedule so much nobody was really able to find it.  Those that did were hooked on it.  After  Fox managed to mishandle the movie version, they pretty much buried it so it could never be revived. 
   
   Too bad.  Firefly had the potential to draw a lot of sci-fi viewers that had long ago been turned off by Star Trek's inexplicable pie-in-the-stars smooshy liberalism after James Tiberius Kirk retired.
   
   Firefly was a gritty look at humans once again on the frontier. The space western feel made sense to hard sci-fi fans and the lack of encounters with big-headed rubber aliens cleared out most of the horror movie fans.  Firefly was the thinking man's science fiction and had people had time to find it and watch a few episodes, they'd have been hooked and have been if they watched the series on the Syfy Channel or one of the Science Channel marathons or borrowed some Firefly groupie's DVD set..
   
   Firefly fans are more fanatic than Ron Paul supporters. The cast was perfect and every one of them has said they'd do the series again in a heartbeat. Nathan Fillion, Firefly's Captain Malcolm Reynolds, manages to sneak a few Firefly references into his new series, Castle. The rest of the crew do appearances at conventions and to a person call the Firefly series one if not the best acting work they've ever done.
   
   If you have not seen it, jump onto a Sci channel marathon some weekend when they run the whole series and the movie back to back. You will not regret the day wasted unless you're an ignorant boob and then, don't worry. Fox still has plenty of reality TV shows where they eat worms and stuff. You'll be alright.

   The only show I have ever watched from start to completion was LOST (watched it only a few months ago). Still wishing for Lost 2. Given the ending I'm not sure how it would work though...

   I would want to revive the sitcom "Friends"! I loved that show and even now my husband and I can watch reruns over and over.  It is so hilarious and still hits close to the heart with every episode! Oh, and the actors are amazing!

    Mind Your Language, a British comedy television series I watched as a teenager. It is set in a class for adult students learning English as a foreign language. Humor is derived from cultural disparities and misunderstanding English words, phrases and expressions. The show doesn't spare anyone, including friendly English teacher and pompous principal.

    Jericho.  They left the series in the middle of season 2 on a cliff hanger.  I think it was a great program that should have continued.

    Touched by an Angle: My wife and I both enjoyed it. It was uplifting, different storyline every week and frequently, you got to hear the fantastic Della Reese belt out a song like no else can. It was a great show. The main character was Monica. Someday soon I am going to write a Hub about why that name became important to me.
