What foods make you feel most energetic in the morning?

This morning I ate some blueberries and skipped the coffee. I was shocked to find the long lasting energy I got! What other foods bring this kind of energy?

Many say that apples are effective in "waking you up". I haven't tried it though. I don't drink coffee, too. I just make sure that I eat something healthy and drink milk in the morning.

I eat peanut butter toast every morning.  It is the only thing I have found that carries me well past lunch.

I usually have cereal and juice after my morning coffee.  Since the coffee doesn't wake me up, I am attributing my waking up to the cereal and juice.

I eat oatmeal just about every morning with fruit and nuts (no sugar).  It gives me a good start for the day.

People forget how good and important breakfast is. One great breakfast meal you can make and serve is a fried bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Fry the eggs you will need for your sandwiches and cook your bacon in the oven.

Put your sandwiches together with the egg, bacon and a slice of cheese and fry your sandwich on both sides in butter over medium heat until the sandwich is toasted brown on both sides. You'll have a sandwich that will be oh so delicious and it will give you a lot of energy to start the day.

You can fry the egg for your sandwiches or you can scramble them. Either way they will be delicious.

I like the egg and cheese part, but red meat tends to slow me down and make me feel overweight or like I am running a hot fever (sometimes).

Overnight oats with bananas, blueberries, flax seeds and drizzle of maple syrup.

Soft boiled eggs, toast soldiers, wilted spinach, grilled mushrooms/tomatoes/peppers.

Some say that fruits and cereals have the power of keeping people active throughout the day. After eating a bowl of cornflakes or museli, I eat an apple or an orange and drink a glass of warm milk. These combination of fruits and cereals makes me feel rejuvenated and focus better on my work.  My favorite food in the morning (breakfast) is museli with few chopped nuts and raisins which is not only nourishing but also gives me plenty of energy.

Yogurt and granola with a cup of tea.  Peanut butter and banana on toast is another good option.
