I've not made anything through Amazon on Hubpages but do make a decent amount from my blogs that I've monetized with Amazon.  I've found that choosing products with more than 20 customer reviews above 4-star and that are less than $200 work well.  I try not to promote more than 4-5 products per page and get 7-10% conversions.

I've actually only sold one item through amazon so I wish I could give you some good advice but I don't think what I'm doing is working.

thanks for your comments fellow hubbers smile

Casey, you are the first person who has given me some tangible numbers that i can work with.... products costing less than $200 with more than 20 4-star or over reviews...seems plausible i will try it out for sure!

are there any specific product areas you can recommend that tend to always do well (ie. 'evergreen' products)?

JustMike, i havent sold any...so you are in a better positiion than me smile

When I am trying to select products to include in my hub, I look at products that are related to what I am writing about, and that I might be interested in if I were searching for this article.
