   Which Antivirus software are you most comfortable with and recommend?
   
   Please indicate what program you use, how you obtained it (downloaded,purchased,etc), and what it's best and worst features are?

   I like AVG Free Edition...has always worked well for me.  In addition to AVG I run Malwarebytes which goes after malware that most anti-virus, alone, will miss.  I was using McAfee, and they let some critters get by and during a remote session, they were the ones who installed my first version of Malwarebytes on my machine to find what McAfee could not...it worked... I will keep using that additional software for sure. Since I have done that, I have not had any issues at all for well over two years on five machines I have online.

   I use AVG. I'd advise against Norton, it's crashed three of my computers in the past.

   I would prefer going for Avast Anti Virus. It's safe, reliable and powerful... You can download the Free version from www.download.com. The free License key can be found through the Crack version of the software.

   I've tried AVG, Norton, McAffee, Panda, Kaspersky, and Avast in the past, and none of them compare to the well kept secret that is "NOD32 from ESET".
   
   I honestly don't know why it's not more popular, as it has many accolades and awards under its belt, and is widely used in the professional IT circuit.
   
   It lacks the immense "bloat" of the likes of Norton and McAffee, and it only ever bugs you when it really needs to - unlike some of the competitors who like to report normal background ISP traffic as "intrusion attempts" just to make it look like they're doing something.
   
   It's closest cousin is Kaspersky, but I haven't enjoyed their latest versions.

   I would go with Avast!.
   3 Reasons :
   Number 1 ) Its Free!
   Number 2) Game friendly - Previously use AVG until i have to uninstall it to play my MMORPG!! never had a problem with avast! Norton too is not game friendly
   Number 3) Frequent updates and seemsly background screening
