Do you have a Cherished Family Pet or Special Relationship with an Animal?
Horses, Dogs, Cats, Birds, and other animals can become very important in our lives.
Yes, definitely. Meet Betty. We named her after Ugly Betty.
I love all of them. My dog is an adorable brat, always there to cuddle. My horse is in a way a big dog, he hates to see me leave- and I hate to see him leave too. My bird though is my best friend (is that wierd?). He is always there to listen, ad he's loyal till' the end. I love each of my pets in their own special way.
We rescued a mix puppy four months ago, his name is Butters. He is the baby, the center of our family life. Since all of my kids are in high school, he is the baby. Yeah ,my daughter told me that since they were already grown I needed something to pet and feed. He is very spoiled.
Yes, we have 3 dogs and they are all cherished. We are dog nuts! My special dog, Duffy died last summer, age 13 1/2 and my new best friends is Tully, he is 18 month old choc. lab
All of the pets that we have have been cherished and grieved every one that I have lost. They are all special.
My pal Bear is a special friend of mine. He's A Akita and sheperd, weighs in
about 90lbs and is ten years young. He still thinks he's young and thats okay with me. He is a very loving dog to his family but he is so attached to me that no matter where I am, he is right there at my side. Because of his breed, he is very protective, to the whole family.
Our Rufus dog is spoiled and shadows us. If anyone moves, he is right behind us. When my husband goes to bed, I have to follow him in because the dog will race him to his side. Then the dog will not move until I lay down and say come on. He comes rushing over to get his belly rubbed. My poor husband has to stand there until I can get him moved. He will not move so my husband can get in bed.
Animals are the best!! They each have their own special, unique personality. My husband and I have 3 terriers - all of whom have their own lanquage and 'talk' to us to let us know what they want - treats - to go out - to be picked up - to get one of the other ones to quit picking on them.....Sweet and hilarious!
I did. My two dogs recently died and it's the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. They were my girls, my best friends. They knew me better than my husband, and that's saying alot, my husband knows me better than I know myself. I miss them terribly. We did get another dog, Sekhmet. She is growing on me, but it will be a long time before we form a bond anything like what I had with Lady and Dickens.
I think anyone who owns an animal or animals has a special relaionship with them. Our beloved dog Henry died just a year ago and I hated the quietness of the house without him,so,about a month after his death we went to Battersea Dogs Home in London and found,or should I say,Roxy found us! I absolutely adore her,she seems to be able to tell me when there is a problem with the chickens! We seem to have some kind of connection,my husband calls her a farmers dog!
Yep. I have two FIV positive cats who spent 13 months in a little tiny cage in a shelter. Their names are Bigfoot and Picasso and they are absolutely wonderful companions. I can't imagine my life without them now. And the FIV thing - people worry too much. As long as you take care of your FIV kitties, they will live a long and happy life.

The incompetent, immature, not-quite-adult one term president Obama was taken to the woodshed by Mr. Netanyahu. I loved it. Our bully in chief could not bully the adult in the room. Mr. Obama came off looking like an anti-Semite. And Mr. Netanyahu clearly appeared to be the only statesman in the...

If your dog or cat needed a limb amputated would you keep the pet or put it to sleep? For the record I have seen loads of dogs and cats with three, (even two) legs survive perfectly well, but likewise I have seen owners faced with this choice say that either they don't think it is fair to have a...

Do grandparents love their grandchildren more than their own children?I have heard some grandparents say that they love their grandchildren more. Is it because they have forgotten how much they used to love their own children?
