Its not the time you need to spend, Its the earnings ($50 at the end of a month) you need in your account to get paid from HP. Write quality hubs, no matter how much more or less time you spend to earn more on HubPages
If you know how to optimize a hub to get search engine views, you can earn more with 2 hours of work than some people earn writing full time. But not many people have the stamina to put into learning about backlinks, keywords and SEO.
Just focus on writing quality rich Hubs and to send backlinks to your Hubs. And you will see good results and income.
The time needed to spend daily to get paid from HP depends on your drive to produce income. One writer claims that she spent 15 hours writing hubpages because that was her only source of income. Spending 15 hours writing is excessive and my suggestion is to work at your own pace so that you can check into Hubpages everyday. Writing consistently is more important than having a time quota when it comes to getting paid.

My September earnings on HP amounted to more than $1,300. That includes Adsense, HPads, and Amazon sales. IF (notice - big if) this continues, hubby will be able to retire soon, which has been my goal all along. Last November and December, I think I made around $1,200 for each of those months, due...

I'm not sure what to think of this, but HP is advertising a part-time job (telecommuting is OK). The job is to find new Hubbers. Maybe they don't like the old ones?http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/mar/4327997100.htmlIt looks like HP is willing to spend a lot of money on AdWords to find...

Can I?I have a couple of smaller accounts. As Amazon currently operates, my earnings go into one pot. From what I can understand, that won't happen once HP take over my Amazon. Or am I wrong? If I'm not, why not? I am going to lose out as it is, and I can't see the separation of my HP accounts being...
