   Hi Anjili-
   
   Every parent tries (or should try) to do the best they can in nurturing and preparing their children to grow up into productive and happy adults.  This is not to say, that anyone is perfect - parent or child.
   
   Everyone processes and uses information as they are built to do so.  Some very well and right on point, others not so much.
   
   What parents can do is provide an unconditional loving environment.  From within that, they provide dicipline, direction, advice and support.
   
   Even a small child, and certainly an older child and young adult, can make their own decisions and bear the responsibilities.  The parent always will have the longer history and experience (by definition) and can offer perspective.
   
   So, the short answer to your question is:  No.

   The parents are not totally responsible for their child's future. As, your children are educating themselves as day by day. The education will build their decision making ability and it will help them to make the right judgement in their future. As far as the parenting skills are concerned, you should guide your children by telling them that it is good for them or it is bad for them. So, keep them free from your hands to judge what is good or what is bad in their life. It is their own judge. Here, it is no role of the parents are to be considered. It will also make them independent in their life.

   The children are the one responsible for their future however parents are their guiding star and disciplinarian from the very start so that they will lead to the right path and attain the best things on their lives- success.

   Parents are responsible for their children's present well-being.  Although I think parents are always concerned about their grown-up children, they are no longer exactly responsible..

   A parents role in their child's life is to bring them up to be the best person they can be, offering them guidance, opportunities for education and self exploration.  What they choose to do with these tools when they are grown up is their choice.  However begiinnings are really important and adults who do well have usually had a stable and safe home environment.
