Do you use hubpages to make a living or to fulfull a passion for writing?
..and how?
I love to write, so for now I use it mainly to fulfill my passion. But I am unable to work at the time because of a difficult pregnancy so I am making sure I write more and get more out there. I am hoping that my writing will be good enough to be able to make a living off of, however that is not my intention.
If money comes I will accept the blessing. But I enjoy the writing and the thought process that goes into it.
Through Hubpages I've discovered that I can write and I'm thoroughly enjoying the process. Apart from writing researched articles I've also tried my hand at writing short stories and the feeling is amazing.
There is so much well-written pieces on every subject here.
As far as money goes if it continues as it is I will be able to make a nice side income from it.
I would like to make a living on my writing, but I'm not sure that will happen. It would be great to work half time outside home a half time writing at home. That would be ideal for me.
I started writing here purely for money. My wife and I were struggling, so any extra cash I could earn helped. Since I joined, however, we were lucky enough to get on our feet and I also realized that the income from HubPages is too disjointed to really rely on. So I've continued writing here as a way to supplement my passion, which is writing novels. I'm currently in the long, agonizing process of finding an agent for my finished book, but while I'm waiting that out, HubPages provides an outlet for my thoughts and a forum in which to exercise my writing.
Make a living?
Ha!
I wrote for HubPages for well over a year and then Adsense took away the massive amount I had earned in all that time.. it was almost £30.
Yes, I hear you dropping your pens, pencils and coffee cups to the floor.
£30 (almost)
And what for?
Bugger me, I have no idea, I must have infringed one of Adsense's pathetic little rules.
Listen carefully...
BOLLOCKS TO ADSENSE!
I joined Hub Pages mostly for exposure while I polish my craft. The comments here are very valuable. If I ever earn any money from it I'd consider it an added bonus. I know the more people who read my work the better known I will be. When it comes time to approach an editor they will want to see examples. Hub Pages is a good platform to store these examples. The writing bug has bit me hard, so you never know where you may see my stuff.

It seems people have lost their passion for HubPages. Why lot of active members now remain so silent. Why so many hubbers migrated to other writing platforms. I am observing a total lull in the hubbing activities of many active writers here. For many, including me, the traffic and revenue are going...

Write for passion or write to earn?

I've had a passion for writing ever since I can remember. I started with short stories as a child then locked onto poetry and from that I've never turned back, what about everyone else?
