Tell us about your transition from "the bad things" you used to do to being saved by Jesus.
I would, but the Bible suggests that it is better not to even talk about the things that are done in darkness. The good news is . . . I'm FREE!
I never really indulged in really bad things, guess my parents did a good job of raising me (putting the fear of God in me worked!). I was no saint, but I wanted to do right from the beginning, it just made sense. As a seven year old, I just took life as it was and tried to pattern it after the goodness of God's Word. Made some mistakes, but nobody's perfect... just have to ask forgiveness, learn from it and go on.
Well, that would be a really long list! To paraphrase St. Augustine "If you want to drag all the skeletons out of MY closet, your going to need a lot of body bags!"
Let's go with the drugs and booze. I was a hopeless dope fiend. Now I'm a dopeless hope fiend.
Well I grew up in a strict Christian home for the most part I stayed out of big trouble but my problems were inside where only the Lord could see them. Even tho I grew up ina Christian home I truly got saved in the 9 th grade when the lord delivered me from myself. I was tormented inside afraid of making mistakes, afraid to tell anyone what my inside hangups were. When I found the Lord I was freed from an inside prison my chains left me and I was free. So I would say the Lord delivered me from me.

Can't bad things just happen? Or, do bad things happen for a reason? Some people act like it is one's own fault that one gets cancer (e.g., not eating right) or getting robbed (one acted like a victim) or even for suffering a natural disaster (for putting out a negative vibe). What do you think and...
