Do you still celebrate your birthday or as time goes by you just see no point in it?

Of course I celebrate my birthday. I mean it doesn't have to be on a grand scale costing lots of money, but yes some celebration for me is important. Your birthday signifies the beginning of your life and indeed as we get older another birthday celebration is also about being here; alive to celebrate.
Birthdays don't have to be materialistic or even shared with other people. Your birthday is your own special day and we all deserve one day a year where we should be celebrated for being special.
If I can I like to celebrate with my family over a lunch or BBQ. Last year I spent the morning of my birthday pottering in my garden at home and the afternoon on my balcony sharing cocktails with my partner; listing to music and eating tortilla chips. The sun was shinning, the sea was simmering and I was very happy. Friends called later with a few bottles and the afternoon melted into an evening of chatter and laughter. A very simple day, but a very memorable one.

I do not really celebrate it but I do mark it with the help of my family. They enjoy taking me out to dinner and making a cake for me. They also seem to enjoy spending their time and money finding things to spoil me with. I will let them enjoy that as I enjoy it too and we all need to feel special occassionally.

I like to celebrate my birthday. However, now I dedicate the resources to celebrate my kids birthdays, which have become more important for the family. I consider, it is important to at least make a great celebration for the 30s, 40s, 50s, etc.

Well I don't go all out with it and have a birthday party with decorations and slumber parties and barbie dolls. I did all that 15 years ago.

Now I'll probably have a few friends over, and family, we may have a cake, and we'll play games or whatever. No big deal really.

I haven't celebrated my birthday for several years. My wife and son have  had parties for the occasion but I don't participate as a birthday boy, and refuse to accept gifts.  I spent my birthday this year in the doctor's office.
