Which do you prefer: Pancakes, waffles, french toast or crepes?
For preparing, which do you prefer: Pancakes, waffles, french toast or crepes?

My favorite are pancakes; preparing and eating.
I usually like to prepare the batter the day before making the pancakes.
I love caramel ice cream wrapped in a warm pancake drizzled with toffee sauce. Delicious.
Oh, my. I've heard of "waffle cones" but not "pancake cones". Do you have a recipe for toffee sauce?
Yeah and it's really easy.
1/2 a pound of unsalted butter
2 cups of soft brown sugar
pinch of salt
1 cup of pure maple syrup
heat the butter, sugar and salt to melt the butter and dissolve the sugar
add in the syrup, bring to the boil, stir and se
Preparing: non of them! I would love it if there was someone who can prepare these for me everyday!
Eating: ALL OF THEM! I love all breakfast food, specially these, but only eat them on the weekend.
Actually I am big pancake eater when I have a chance to make them. I use whole wheat flour in my mix. Course I use whole wheat for all my bread needs.
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup Splendia
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup quick oats
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 cups whole milk
Mix together all till a smooth but slightly thick batter.(dip a spoon in and if it coats the spoon a dimes thickeness its ready) Let sit for 5 minutes.
Heat pan with a tsp butter / margarine / oil which ever you prefer. spread out.
add a soup ladle in the middle of the pan, spread out, and let cook till you see bubbles come to the top (2 minutes). flip and cook 1 minute more.
I prefer French toast which I love to make also. It is light and fluffy because I beat the eggs and milk, cinnamon, and seasoned salt together, thoroughly soak the bread, then I put it on a hot, oiled griddle to brown while partially covered to allow the egg to rise like a souffle. I add more cinnamon, then butter, dust w/ powdered sugar, and serve w/ warmed maple syrup.
OK, can I come over? YUM. I never tried covering the pan to create the "oven" effect. I may just be inspired! Thank you.
You're welcome! Have you ever tried baking french Toast in a casserole dish for a large crowd? You'll really get the fluffy egg effect. Delish :}
Well, pancakes, waffles and crepes are usually made out of a similar tasting batter. I love them all. I guess I eat more pancakes than any of the other choices.
For preparing I prefer french toast as it is the easiest to make. Eating I will have to crepes as we make them in South Africa served with cinnamon sugar. We make them paper thin and that is why I do not enjoy making them!
for preparing, I prefer french toast. beat eggs with milk, salt, pepper and a dash of pure vanilla.simple and yummy. I prefer to eat crepes...they're so delicious but my husband doesn't care for them.
Never thought about putting pepper into my french toast -- but I do like brownies & cheesecakes with chipolte, so maybe I'd like it! I may just try it.

Do you think potato bread would make good French toast?Potato bread is denser than a piece of wheat, rye or white bread. Today I ate a strange lunch combo of potato bread, chunky peanut butter, apricot jam, and a dash of cinnamon. It actually tasted quite good. I think I might try...
