   Personally I tend to always buy Saucony.
   
   Their shoes seem to fit well to my feet, I find them comfortable and hardwearing- particularly their Jazz series of shoes which have served me well over the years.

   I had always used Nike, until I lost a sole off one shoe 3km into a 17km race. I was given a pair of (used) New Balance a few years back which served really well until Terry bought us both new New Balance running shoes 2 months back. Unfortunately I don't think they're available outside of South Africa.

   i would love Adidas always but will settle for a good nike sometimes....i feel the are the 2 most comfortable foot wear and are very wonderful to run with

   +1 for Saucony.  I have used the Ride series for many years and they are very durable and comfortable for me.  it's a personal choice though...try a couple pairs out and once you find a style that fits, stick with them!

   I am usually a Nike guy.  I loved the pegasus.  I just recently bought the Brooks Pureflow shoes, and they are awesome.

   I have New Balance here in the UK, I have found them to be the most comfortable and supportive for my feet (I tend to over pronate, and they are really good if you choose the right cushioning).

      Hi Sarah. Teresa also over-pronates, maybe it's a woman thing (?), and she has been using New Balance as long as she can remember, with orthopaedic supports.

      I think it is more of a woman's thing, as wearing heels can cause changes to the foot arch. There's a reason why I rarely wear heels now!!

   I have to weigh on the Brooks brand. I've tried several different brands, and I always come back to Brooks (currently the Glycerin 9) .  As for why:
   
   Choosing the right shoe is a very subjective choice but for me, they provide a good fit and tend to last longer than other brands I have tried.  I didn't settle on the Brooks brand until I went and got fitted at a running store.
   
   Getting fitted is something I highly recommend for all runners. I got fitted after experiencing a couple of injures and found out part of the problem was the shoes I had picked where wrong for my gait.

      I love the Brooks shoes.  I bought a pair of Pure Flow 2, and they are fantastic.

   Asics because I like the feel and they're really light. They can be reasonable in price if you look. I also like the logo and the colors.
