Do you think others see you the same way you see yourself?
God I hope not! I am a bit of a insecure and at time self loathing type that has trouble giving myself a break. If others see me how I feel about myself at times then that wouldn't be a good sign for my situation!
I honestly don't see how they could.
I'm the only one who sees myself as the product not only of who I am, but also what I've been through to get to this point in time. Other people experience my words and external deeds, but they only have as much contact with my interior dialogue as I give them.
At that point, I'd say who they see me as and who I see me as have to be different
Definitely not. I barely notice what my body is doing when I'm out an about. I think I have this dream of being incredibly graceful and always come back down to earth with a bump when someone does an impression of me and there are arms and legs all over the place...
the perception and perspective view of individuals are different. i always convince my self and never bother to judge or hope some thing in return. let the people be on their way, but i make sure my self esteem or self respect is safe. good hub.
definitely not. most of the people i know actually is surprised to know how a deep thinker and funny at the same time i am. most people think i'm a geek. but i know i;m not. haha
Great question, algarveview. And I hope they "do." I love honesty in whatever form it comes.
Hi, Kenneth, thanks, it was just something I was wondering today...
There's a very good model called the Johari window (named after Jo and Hari) which tells you why they don't see you as you see yourself. Equally you do not see yourself as they see you. If you draw two lines crossing at right angles, you create four "windows". Along one side you write "self" and split between the two windows "known" and "not known". Along the edge at right angles you write "other" and split between the two boxes you write "known" and "not known". This gives you four windows, one is "known to me" + "known to others". That is called the ARENA, because everyone knows about it. This would be things like your eye colour, your height and lots of other things that are totally known about and public. The next window, is your BLIND SPOT. These are things that everyone else knows about you but you don't know. They might be things like how annoying you can seem to others! Another window is the GREAT UNKNOWN, this is what neither you nor anyone else knows about you. Could be things like an illness that you don't know you have, etc. The final window is the FACADE. It's what you know about yourself but others don't. You can see a diagram of it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Johari_Window.PNG
Obviously not! I don't know anyone I'd rather be with, but, it is perfectly clear no one else feels the same. It is quiet possible that being deprived of such opportunity, others are simply unaware of where they would rather be. Of course that does not explain why those who do know me, are no where to be found. Perhaps, those who know me, can only take so much of a good thing! I will choose to believe that it is so!
this is such a beautiful question! I sure do hope so, I sure do hope so..... I know sometimes we may make enemies without intending to do so, however-- sometimes some people just can't understand you or see how great of a person you truly are. I think the people that we hold dear in our lives see past our faults-- just like we see past theirs. We are fortunate to have them and they are fortunate to have us. They may not necessarily see what we see in ourselves--in fact, they may see more than what we see in ourselves. Call it your aura, your flair--- potential, admiring us just as we admire them. & Some how it brings out the best of us as we go along...
I personally do not really matter how others see me.
I am more to what I see in myself. I want to do things that I feel is right and does not really matter of what others think.
So, basically I am doing things that I love and helping people that I care for. So in the end, it doesn't really matter of how I am being seen.
Normally others see us as better human beings than we consider ourselves to be.
Not all the time. There are times when people will see the good in us before we see it. Sometimes we may not even know just what greatness lies within us, but other people can see it and those are the people you want in your life because they will pull out those qualities and gifts you can't see.

Everyone has an opinion of themselves, as do all the people that we meet. What is a more accurate perception, the way you view yourself or the way that your closest friends and family see you?You may see yourself as in control-organized, brilliant and a good person. Others see you as chaotic- lost...

In terms of quality, I would like to achieve the 100 rating as a writer and keep my hubs above 90. I would really appreciate feedback on my writing style, skills, strengths, weaknesses, etc and suggestions for improving. I did just learn from another make-over that I should wait awhile...
