   How do you define beauty?
   
   How do you define and description beauty? Is it Beauty from the Greek understanding of Beauty? Is it in the eye of the beholder? What is beauty to you?

   Beauty is pure and genuine. It is the quality that separates one from arrogrance, pride, haughtiness, vanity, hatred, and superiority. Beauty is humility, strength, contentment, and being comfortable in one's own skin.

   Beauty is a quality that reveals itself through character.  I have met people whom I thought stunning at first sight, but after getting to know them ... right before my eyes they turned ugly.  The ugliness of their hearts was revealed through their coarse language, hateful words, me first attitudes and more. 
   On the contrary I have met people whom I thought were quite plain but after getting to know them, right before my eyes they turned beautiful. 
   My roommate at college is an example of the transformation I experienced in seeing her change from plain to beautiful.  When I first met her she looked frumpy to me and had no sense of style.  But as I came to know her better I learned that she was very kind and thoughtful.  She was a great listener and even cried with me when I was in pain.  Her eyes would twinkle when engaged in conversation and love flowed from her heart freely.  She had no ulterior motives and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I could trust her with my heart. 
   Honestly ... even her appearance changed, in my eyes, after coming to see how beautiful she was inside.

   Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...or the ear, nose, etc.  Beauty is an experience. You recognize it by the way you feel after having encountered someone or something. It could be a song,  a face, an aroma, a voice.

      Nice answer. I can see what you mean, but we are a society fixated on looks, so we tend to start on the body and face.

    The beauty is in the subconscious mind of the beholder.
    Our brain experiences the things through the observations by the five senses eyes, ears, skin, nose, and tongue. As a consequence the brain feels the things and triggers emotions and thoughts. If the process continues the mind comes into picture and tries to understand the experience further. The consciousness of our mind perceives the experience beyond the observations registered by senses. This takes us to the region of subconscious state, where in we perceive the things beyond experience, not needing any description or definition.

    Beauty comes from the soul, and there's different types of beauty.  Confidence, winning smile, compassionate, strong, humble, etc.  So many, and we are all different for a reason.
