When you are "Hub Hopping" do you make a comment?

I never know if I should write a comment or just read, give it an up or down, flag it, and just move on to the next one.

Just treat it like you would while reading any other Hub. If it interest you? Comment on it. If not? Move on. smile

Of course you should, if there's something you want to add to the topic smile.
And/or, if you don't feel like to comment, it is always useful to vote the hub up and mark it as useful, interesting, etc if you really feel like it is.
This is a very important way to help your fellow hubbers and the community to know if something is worth reading.

I usually do, unless I'm very short on time.
I think it shows the writer you appreciate that they put their time into writing it, whether you agree with what they wrote or not.

I more often read and comment than HubHop.  When "hopping", I comment as well as mark up and down.

I sure do, if I find it interesting, etc.  In His Love, Faith Reaper

It takes just a minute and it seems like an easy way to be supportive to another writer.

I agree with Liz and Faith, it is nice to support another writer through comments.  If ou find it interesting, you should leave a note.

Only if I'm really moved by something.  Normally, I read, rate and move on.  However, I never leave negative comments.  No need.  I'm not here to judge anyone.

I leave comments on hubs only if I can share something that adds to the piece. I save voting up for hubs that contribute something worthwhile and voting down for those that don't make sense or have substandard content that makes it difficult to read (only about 2%).  I also rate each one as funny, useful, interesting, amazing, or beautiful as that's primarily what I look for when browsing hubs.

Sometimes the topic interests me but the contents don't compel me to share an opinion but it's something worth doing when you have something to add to what has already been said.

When I can respond in a positive manner---then I will. Only a small % of the time have I left a hub that I could not leave a comment.

To each their own---but I like for readers that support my hubs by reading them to leave a comment so I can support theirs by reading them—otherwise—I do not know who they are with no comment and no name.

However, that being their choice---it makes me happy they stopped by to read my hub. There are so many wonderful writers on HubPages and I only know a small % of them.

I hub hop as often as I can, and leave comments when the article is about something I can relate to and produce an opinion about the contents or the writing and presentation. I check to see if its a newbie, and if so, try to be helpful, and provide any advice I can. I have also flagged quite a lot of "hops". I prefer to flag than vote down, because the flag is not definite, it just sends the article to the moderators, and they decide if I was justified or not. If I'm wrong, no harm done!

If I like a hub well enough to vote it up I usually leave a comment. Also if it's a new hubber I like to welcome them.

I would recommend commenting if there is anything that would be natural to comment about. Forced comments are easy to spot. I love Hub Hopping, isn't it fun?!

I try to but if the Hub doesn't interest me or if it is greater than 800 words then I have not the time to contribute to reading it.
