   Have you ever written an article that you thought was brilliant, but...
   
   the article got little or no traffic? Did you rewrite the article, or did you just delete it?

   I've got some stuff that never seemed to get as much attention as I would have liked, but I just left it where it was and moved on to the next thing. There's no real reason to delete something you've done, though. I mean... it's not like there's limited space on the Internet.
   
   The only real reason to delete something I can imagine would be if I were to decide that I'm just not happy with it, and I don't actually want anyone to read it.

   Not at the moment, though I have a somewhat "related" story. I actually deleted an article because it generated too much traffic - someone posted the link to my article on a forum, and the next day I recieved 24 abuse comments on the review of the game. Not that it mattered, it was only Realm of the Mad God, not a decent game.

   Yeah, one of my hubs has received very little love. I thought it was a pretty interesting topic, but apparently no one else agreed. It's been up for a while, but my most recently published hub surpassed it within an hour of getting published.
   
   I probably won't delete or rewrite it. I don't think it's the writing - just the topic. And no reason to delete it - I might find some excuse to link to it some day.

   I once wrote an article aimed at a pretty specific audience which got very little attention. After it rode for a while I recieved an email out of the blue with a tip on how I might review it and open it up to the wider audience it might be of interest to. A simple title change and a bit of editing and it did the trick. I got more traffic in a few days than I got in few months with the original.
   It finally fell into obscurity when it became outdated so I chose to delete it rather than update.

   Yes.  I wrote a short story that I thought was brilliant, but others did not.  It just sits there because I'm too proud of it to delete it.  Someday, someone will read it and appreciate it and it will take off!

   So many good questions today. Oh yes. I let it sit for a while (days) and then when I got my head clear of clutter, I rewrote it. I had planned to delete it, but at the last minute an idea came to me and I improved it.

   Yes, it happens.  But it comes with the territory.  You will be rejected as a writer, you will be criticized.  And not everyone will love what you write.  You do what makes you happy, put out what makes you feel good, and hope that others will enjoy it as much as you enjoyed creating and sharing it. 
   
   I don't change it.  Sometimes I will find grammatical errors and fix that but I won't do it to appease anyone or to get my traffic up.  I write it because I believe in my own stuff.  What others think is their own opinion and they are entitled to it, just as I am entitled to mine.  I thank them for it, whether it's positive or negative praise and move on to my next piece.  Deleting something I wrote is not an option.

   Yes I have experienced this as well.  I have 10+ Spider-Man related gaming hubs. Some of them still get a good amount of hits,  while others have hit Zero.
   
   I usually just  leave them alone, unless I have a real reason to update them. That would be links, new info, or more pictures. I wouldn't go as far as a full rewrite, once I published it publicly.   Wouldn't delete them ether.
