Don't use Google. Most images that pop up here somebody else's and you do not always have permission to use them. You could land yourself in hot water using images just found from the internet.

Try finding some FREE stock photo sites. These photos you can use without worry or legal ramifications. Please note with a lot of images you will still need to state the photographers name as a source.

Images is always a tricky issue. It's better to be safe then sorry.

Things like Flickr are a great place to find images; once again check their Creative Commons status, and make sure that you can use the images; and weather you need to add a reference back to the photographer.

Clip Art photos are usually free to use without stating a name; but always better to check.

Most of my hubs are album or movie reviews so I borrow photos of the album/DVD covers or movie posters from Wikipedia.

In several cases I've used my own photos.

    You can get pictures at
    Morgue File
    Free Digital Photos
    Every Stock Photo

There is no charge for using pictures from these sites but be sure you give proper credit to the site you use on your hub.

I like to use Flickr and then do an advance search for images available to use under creative commons.  These are going to usually be more unique and original than than stock photo sites.

I try to use my own pictures whenever possible. If I don't have something that will work then I usually go to flickr.

I like to use my own shots but rarely use pics anyway.  I find it distracting to the read in general.

Well, I try my best to produce my own photos. However, if I'm not able to do it, I ask permission from friends to use some of their photos if theirs fit the hub I'm writing about.

I wrote a hub with 15 different places to find free photos you can use for your hubs.  There are several resources, you just have to be careful to check the terms.  Two of my favorites are morguefile and stock xchg.

I use my own images 95% of the time. If I can't find a pic suitable for the topic I'm writing on, I attempt to create a PowerPoint Word Art Image or Paint Shop Image that relates to my hub, and save it as a jpeg for use.

You can scan images from books, magazines, or your own drawings. Save it with the .jpeg extension and use them.
