False Pregnancy Question?
I know, I know go see a doctor, still waiting on insurance papers. Anyways, I was almost convinced I was pregnant. I did a test a week ago, it was negative and I did another one today, still negative. I have cramping, lower back pain, gas, more gas, fatigue and now, after I eat something, about 30 minutes after I am STARVING! I am about 2 weeks or so late for my period. I honestly felt sick since the middle of July. Any ideas? I know I keep asking questions about this I just want to know so I can help my body out.
This is probably not the answer you want to hear, but you just have to wait it out. Pregnancy hormone increases pretty quickly, so keep testing. And remember that it is best to test with the "first urine" in the morning as it has higher concentrations of the hormone. Other early symptoms of pregnancy include tenderness of the breasts and major fatigue. Take care of yourself in the meantime, and good luck!
Thanks Annabelle. My aunt said "time will tell".. so I guess I will have to wait and see. Just gotta make sure I'm eating good till i know for sure.
Sometimes (not saying this is the case for you) women can convince (or trick) their body that they are pregnant and experience symptoms of pregnancy even if they are not. Even to the point where they have a late period. If you're period is late, you should def. take a home pregnancy test and if that still says negative you should have blood drawn. Depending where you are located, you could have this done without insurance at a family planning clinic. Having had 4 babies, I can tell you that my first signs of pregnancy were experiencing all the signs of going to start my menstraul cycle, swollen sore breast, cramping and fatigue. Usually (all women are diff. though) frequent urination, gas (which is caused in the 3rd trimester from pressure) and food cravings, etc. come later in the 2cnd and 3rd trimester. Most women don't even know they are pregnant until they are already 4-5 weeks. Your symptoms could be a sign of something else though, so please don't wait to long before visiting the doctor. I have heard of false positives before but I think false negatives are less likely. Good luck and I hope everything goes well.
I agree with lidiesl, sometimes thinking of being pregnant too much may trick your body. My sister was like that, feeling the signs and such, but whenever she took pregnancy test, it was always negative. She was like that for ten months. And another month came, again she felt all the signs, she thought it was the same as before, but she got 'positive' result finally. If you feel all the signs, do a pregnancy test. It is more accurate than guessing. Hope this helps and good luck.
