   Do you like the new Hopper?
   
   I do not like it since your must rate a hub before moving on. I usually just like to hop around and selectively read the hubs that catch my attention.

   As a hopper, I find it a tad bit more time consuming to rate people, but I think it will definitely give a better representation of how good or bad a hub is. I totally agree with you about the lack of a "Hop" button. They definitely need to put that on there or else I will not Hop nearly as many Hubs as I used to.

   I like having the ability to give more descriptive feedback on each hub, but I agree that it does seem to require a bigger time investment than before.  I'm also baffled by the inability to comment on hubs in the hopper.  Hub hopping is my preferred way to find new hubs to comment on, so I'm disappointed that comments are gone.

      I agree, I enjoy finding new hubbers that way and commenting, but I believe this was done to keep people from targeting hubbers they don't like and giving unfair negative feedback.

   I agree, Kevin . . the whole idea of hopping is to look around and see what interests you.  This new system needs to be renamed the stopper!!

      You actually can skip hubs by pressing the back arrow.

   I prefer the old Hopper!  Being able to skip was a plus with the old system as were many other features.  I hope they either change this new system or bring back the old.

      I agree with you on the skipping.  If people are forced to read through things that don't interest them, it will prevent people from hopping enough to ensure quality hubs.

   It has potential, but I hate how you can't skip around anymore. If you want to give decent feedback, you have to go through and evaluate each hub before you can hop to the next one.
   
   My first two hubs, I got stuck on recipes... Nothing against recipes, but I don't exactly consider a recipe as a great read. Until we can skip around again, I likely won't be using the Hopper.

   I hate it! I don't like that you can't comment, and I don't like that you can't see who the author is. I doubt that I will use it much.

      I had not done any Hub Hopping in several days so was not aware of the change. However, there are some people who would vote a hub down just because of the author. At least this way they have to read it.

   Kevin I am not sure if I have tried it, but from what you have written I doubt I will try it. I like to hop around the same way you do, and if I lost interest after a paragragh or two I dont think I should be commenting.

   This rating system is good but the term hopper is now redundant as now you cannot hop. There are many topics that you don't want to read but now you cannot skip at all.

    I like the old one a lot better. I did the same thing as others, I like skipping over a few, commenting and voting up or down. It seems less helpful to the writer or the person reviewing it. The ones I saw didn't contain any media, it was like reading a plain piece of paper. Not sure if that is just how they submitted their hubs or the hopper doesn't display the capsules and media.
    
    It is a less encouraging tool at this point and much less engaging.

    I liked it better when you didn't have to give so much feedback immediately to go to next hub.  I want to make sure the rating is fair and on some hubs I wasn't ready to rate them at that moment.

    I like giving and getting feedback in the form of comments... this was my favorite feature of the old hopper, it felt like a friendlier way to communicate your opinions about the hub at hand. This feels so cold and impersonal, it's yuck and it kills the whole community feel of hub hopping. Boo to the new hub hopper.
    I'll do the whole slider thing if they bring back the comments, and a 'no comment' button if the hub does not interest you at all, it happens.

       This might be good, I just spent the last few minutes exploring hubs. So it might give older quality hubs a new lease on life. However, If less people are hopping in this horribly claustrophobic hopper scores may be less accurate.

    I do. I can just click on it and find something I would have never looked for. Sometimes its interesting and sometimes I'm like....mmmm ok? But all in all it's a fun new way of learning about something different and outside of your normal scope.

    I think that perhaps the whole purpose of hub hopping is for readers to give "feed back"....so a comment of some sort is helpful.....I only hop when I have the extra time, but always leave a comment.   I know they are appreciated.

    I definitely do not like it.  I won't be using it unless they make some seriously needed changes.  We need to be able to leave a comment on the hubs and I hate the sliding scale.  The old way is much better.  The new way also takes a lot more time than the old which is another turn-off for me.  I think they need to toss this new Hub Hopper out the window!
