   If we have a new administration in November, will it really make a difference?
   
   Every four years, we look for new changes, a new breath of fresh air, and new hope. Do you think that it will happen if we have a new administration?

   Yes I do.  Just like four years ago the country was looking for a change and the same is true today.  The issues before voters is more critical now than ever with our nation's debt, unemployment and our economy.

   I think it is more crucial this year - America is in a downward spiral under Obama and we really must turn it around soon. We used to be a proud, successful and independent country and now we are turning into a soialistic bunch of mamby pamby's looking for a handout from King Obama.

   I think it will make a difference only if the new administration also has control of both the House and the Senate.  If not, then we can most likely expect political gridlock to continue.  Unfortunately, that might be the worst possible outcome because we'd then be looking towards at least two more years of nothing done.

   Presidents often gets more credit than they deserve as well as more blame than they should.  I can say however from working with many business owners that capital investment is basically on strike.  The business community is simply not happy wiith the Presidents rhetoric as well as recent policy. Whether he means it or not, he comes across as very anti business.  As a result of much of the increased regulatory burden and potential for sizeable tax increases, every business owner I come across is refusing to deploy any resources for capital expenditures.  If the President is relected they want to see if his rehtoric is just playing to the base or is it for real.  If he isn't relected, they want to see how much more business friendly Gov Romney will actually be from a tax and regulatory standpoint.  Either way they are on hold. There is inherently already enough of a risk in any new business venture before the gov't gets in the way. Considering many of the new and pending burdens, it just makes more sense to sit on capital rather than deploy it.  Unfortunately without capital expenditures, job growth will continue to be anemic.

   If we have a miracle happen and Ron Paul wins the upcoming RNC nomination, then we would certainly have a very different White House. The biggest problems then would be the Congress (still shackled by corporate lobbyists) and the power elite who might want to put a contract out on him for upsetting their plans.
   
   I didn't used to be a conspiracy theorist, but I see too much garbage going on in the world to think that it's all just incompetence.
   
   Living outside the USA for 5 years certainly helps me to see that the Corporate Party media kool-aid is poison. Your nightly news is garbage. Sure it has some shreds of truth, but enough slant in the wrong direction to make everything cockeyed.
   
   9/11 was an inside job. That much is a very simple fact. Who exactly, we don't know, yet. If we can believe the late Hollywood producer, Aaron Russo, then the Rockefellers were behind 9/11 and plan to microchip and enslave us all. They plan to orchestrate "false flag" operations and Problem-Reaction-Solution scenarios that will have us begging for their canned solutions.
   
   9/11 got us to beg for "Patriot Act." Well, not me. The "unPatriot Act" is garbage and tyranny. I've always felt that. But I used to buy the Bush "conspiracy theory" about 9/11.
   
   But until we heal from 9/11 and find the real truth, we will continue to flounder and let it drive our policies in the world. So much tyranny, war and spending comes from the lie that is 9/11.
   
   But with a Ron Paul presidency, we could,
   * Eliminate the private Fed and return to sound currency not based on ever increasing debt
   * Slash government spending
   * Eliminate the IRS and personal income taxes (stimulating the economy)
   * Bring all of our troops home and stop meddling in other countries (creating more enemies by our meddling)
   
   Obama = Romney = Bush = Clinton...

   Yes, we need to replace a pathetic, anti-american, anti-capialist, america hating, appeasement,socialist, liar,who is destroying NASA, the US military,the US economy into a European style welfare state. this president is about community agitation pitting american vs american while spewing his social justice racism and class warfare envy.the current president is a page oout of saul Alinsky and Karl Marx's playbook.  Barry o. is the most anti-american president since...EVER. that is why ONLY a Romney presidency is key to getting the uSA back on track with capitolism based strategies nd ideas. Don't give me ron paul if that idiot runs for president - first off he is crazy. Secondly he will only siphon off votes from Romney, liberal Dumbocrats are a different kinda nuts...they don't sway from their psuedo religeous political beliefs ever i give them credit for loyalty, insane birds of a feather roost together....

    Americans vest too much power in the President and probably in Washington in general.   For the most part the economy has nothing to do with the government.  The president's ability to actually change the shape and direction of the macroeconomy is very limited.  I know we praise a President when the economy is good in the past and we have ran off President's with torches and pitch forks.  But the economy is going to do what the economy does, no matter who is in office.

       Presidents affect the economy through their political influence in taxation, regulation, spending and FRB interference. That's indirect power, and more strategic than tactical. You're right, it isn't much in the scheme of things, but it adds up.

    The change is only going to come if the right president and right congress is elected. I do not know what the perfect or near perfect mix has to me in order to remove the partisan bickering from the Congress and to keep presidents from saying "I am going to . . ." when in fact they can only do, in most cases what the Congress will allowed.
    
    I think the country has become so obsessed with trying to place blame on one person for events that were years in the making, that we are not looking or open to reasonable ways to solve the problems.
    
    To answer the question, if we have a new administration will it make a difference. I do not know and cannot offer an answer until we know what kind of Congress we are going to have.

       Politicians win by promising to "do something." When it turns out they can't do much, and what they do doesn't work well, they blame others for it. Obama is a prime example. The public is left with ever disappointed expectations and misdirection.

    Unfortunately I am thinking that there will not be a significant difference for a variety of reasons. The fact is that no one can create millions of jobs out of thin air whether Rep/Dem/other. This takes time, money, and other forms of support. I would love to be proven wrong on this one as millions of people would benefit.
    
    Also, there is a culture of selfishness where politicians are concerned. More specifically, they're focused on pleasing special interest groups, corporations, various unions, etc. to the detriment of most Americans.
    
    Despite this feeling, I will be voting this November. The choices (and there are more than two) loosely remind me about the Peter Principle...

    Absolutely it will make a significant difference. Our present administration is leading us down a path to destruction. Both economically and ... As we "speak" opressive dictators and elements that are counter to our nation's success are gaining territory and becoming more dangerous in our world. A new administration will indeed reverse the flow; now if they do not gain a majority in both houses then the reversal may be limited in significance; yet it will send a message of strength to our enemies. We indeed have some significant enemies...
