Would you consider swaping clothes with friends and family in order to save money?
Do you think swaping clothes with friends and family a good idea for saving money on clothing?
Would you consider spelling the word 'swapping' correctly before publishing your question or do you prefer to allow others to recognize your stupidity?
I have done this before. Particularly if I've needed an outfit for a special occasion that I will only wear once. Those outfits are always a waste of money, so I try to borrow (and lend my own to others) whenever I can.
I think it can be difficult to swap clothes if you feel like you want to get equal value. I have found it is best to pass on clothes (and things in general) without especially expecting anything in return. Two of my favorite dresses were given to me from girlfriends because they felt the dress suited me... That's how I try to pass on my clothes.
On a similar, but slightly different subject: pass on the baby clothes! No swapping needed-- new parents need all the help they can get, and except for the occasional weird stain, baby clothes are never worn out.
I do kid hand me downs all the time, but wash everything. My son wears school uniform items that boys in my daughter's class have worn.
I'll buy consignment clothing after dropping off my items, but I don't trade clothes with adult friends.

Would you trade seeing family and friends to live somewhere tropical? You will always be able to visit them but you would be living miles away and not seeing them nearly as much as you do now. Could you handle that?
