Do you prefer having photos on the computer, or hard copies?
I prefer the computer because you can store them in folders and nothing can ever happen to them. You should watch your email servers though since some you have to agree to let third parties come in and although they are not there to steal, who knows? I am not too savvy on those things but mail.com is a good safe one I believe. Yahoo claims they never charge but continually try to sell you more space and then too gmail is somehow connected to them lately and they are the ones I would never have email with. So it wouldn't hurt to do it both ways cause I know you, like me, have many.
Makes sense, Jackie. Thanks for the additional info, too.
I still like hard copies of photos because its easier to keep them for many years. In contrast, computers and storage media change so quickly that I have no idea what I'll be using 5 or 10 years from now. I don't even remember what computer I was using 5 or 10 years ago, much less what happened to any files that were on it.
My sentiments exactly. I can't afford a Vault to store things on(external hard drive), so my photos are the next best thing for me)
I no longer make hard copies of photos. They are too expensives when compared to storing them on a computer.
Most of my photos are on my hard drive some I keep on photobucket and flicker as well as my hard drive.
And because I lost some very precious photos some years ago when my computer crashed I back them all up on external media i.e cds and memory sticks.
I was storing photos on facebook and on the computer, but I like to keep hard copies of many of my bird pictures. I don't have internet at home.
