   How optimistic do you feel about our country both financially and security wise?
   
   How optimistic do you feel about our Country in the near future?  This is not meant to be a political question. How safe are we? Is there enough money for the country to survive?

   Well, Carol.....For the most part, my middle name is "Optimism," and giving up, has never been an option to me.  To be honest, I've had brief moments, lately of apprehension about our future, in general.  It seems it would be foolish and irresponsible for anyone to refuse to acknowledge the painfully obvious facts.
   In terms of safety, I'm as comfortable as any of us can be.  100% complete and constant safety is a bit of a stretch for any country, regardless of the limitless lengths we may go to.
   I'm unwilling to comment on the "money" question.  I don't believe I have enough knowledge of this, to make an informed or intelligent comment.

   I think that no matter who gets into office, our economy is going to take awhile to get going again.  I'm optimistic that it can recover, but I think green energy is one of the things that we can pursue as a new growth industry in this country.  I also think that we need fairer trade policies set into place in order for a recovery to take place.  As far as our increasing debt, I think that we will have to raise taxes on everyone, and that it is unrealistic and dangerous not to do so once the economy starts to pick back up.  I think that we should keep our popular programs such as social security and medicare and that we easily could do so if we simply pay a little bit more into them as well as looking at keeping medical costs down.  We need to all pull together and come up with sensible solutions - and I'm optimistic that we can.
   
   As far as safety, I think that we are as safe as any country can be in these dangerous times.

   I will always consider Hungary as my home country, although I love the UK too.
   So, to answer your question, I have to say: Hungary is extremely insecure. Due to the local politics (I gues you have heard about the country in the news in the past weeks/years, too!) it is just falling behind and getting the worst reputation ever. Sometimes I feel that Hungary is a dark and terrible place with a fearsome regime - although this is not the case.
   As you said, I don't want this to be too political either, but I have to admit that the present government does everything incorrect and it seems like local people got tired of everything now. They can't step up, they don't try to support for each other and 'fight' for their rights - they faded and accepted everything that makes them incredibly sour, sad and negative.
   I wish I was able to do something to get out that beautiful and in fact fun country from this deep and hopeless pit in which it is now.

   Not to optimistic. I think there will another market crash around Oct. as far as owe safety, I think where about as safe as we always have been.

   Tradition tells us that even St. Paul thought the world would end in his lifetime. Whether or not it's true, the fact that such a story could possibly persist for generations shows that man has always feared the worst for his specie's future. Yet, despite all that fear, the world keeps on spinning and man keeps finding ways to march forward. If you fear uncertainty, you live in the wrong universe; read into the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and you will learn that unpredictability is a fundamental component of nature. We humans have definitely pulled through worse in the past, and that was despite the fact that every generation thinks itself privy to see it all come to a cataclysmic apocalypse. It almost feels arrogant! As for myself, I am completely optimistic that natural selection will take its course. If we find ourselves unable to come to terms with our fears and do something about fixing our problems, nature will happily toss us to the fossil record, as she has all her other creations which no longer can lay claim to the right to survive. To sum up, asking about fear is not the same as confronting it. We will only continue to live on as a species if we actively engage those aspects of reality which planted the seeds of fear originally. So if anyone fears the end is nigh, stop it! Do not fall for the same trap as St. Paul. Stop fearing and start acting. Great question, though

   Oh we're heading towards economic collapse - no question about it. Maybe within the next decade. We've hit the debt ceiling several times since President Obama left office, and there will come a time when interest rates have to rise again and we default.
