If yo could time travel, would you go back and change a decision or situation in your own life?

Assume that your present self would be able to convince your past self to change the decision or situation.  If you feel comfortable, share what this decision/situation would be.

No, because any decision or happening in the past, has influenced and shaped my present self. I've learned from every situation and every obstacle. The past has simply past; we should analyze it, learn from it and move on. I'm a firm believer of "everything happens for a reason," so to me our past is our guide to better decision-making in the future and we should seek to dissect past experiences, because it is  their dissection that leads to personal growth and it's only after their dissection that we may have closure (by seeing what steps must be taken to attain closure).
If we're not at peace or we haven't moved on from past events, we might end up wasting all our energy in thinking of all the things we could have done differently, which is unhealthy.
So, I won't change any past event, because they have molded me and because, I believe it's crucial to be at peace with it (currently working on it and it has helped me put things into perspective).

No because I wouldnt really want to go back went through it once not only that I would not want the present change or altered because Im very happy now. Plus it would be too hard going back seeing my grandparents again knowing that they would die would be too difficult to see them agian.

I'd like to say no and use the premises that I have become what I am today because of my experiences and changing my experiences would alter what I am today for the good or bad. However, without a doubt there are things I wish I could go back and re-experience. For one, I turned down a scholarship to attend a university away from home so I could stay home with my ill mother. I was scared she'd die while I was away. Why would I change that? Well as I now know there was nothing I could do to help my mother and in fact I would have more than likely done her more good by going to the university (my dream college) and graduating from there. I can't help but wonder how things would have turned out had I taken a different path.

I wish I could say I would not change the past, but there is one thing I would have change and possibly two.  If I had went to college when I graduated from high school like I wanted then the other "bad" decision would not have happened. Thanks.  smile

I have often day dreamed about time travel, however I wouldn't want to change a single solitary thing at this point in my life.
