What will you do with your sleeping 'Zzz' hubs?

Many are considering revamping, or unpublishing and transferring to another site. I'm kind of undecided. I like what I have produced, but feel that if they are sleeping, they may benefit my blog or other sites (possibly with a slight revamp) ... hmm, decisions lol.

You should do want you want to -  make it a benefit for your blog. I wouldn't do that, because i don't have a blog. I have some 'Zzz' Hubs... I'm just improving 'my' English so that i can edit them again, make them more attractive and interesting. Good luck!

Some of my sleeping hubs are still getting views, through people clicking the links through my profile - so, I'm definitely not deleting them.

Also, it doesn't actually seem to take much to make them active again, anyway. I had one declared active again just by fixing a typo that I'd missed. So, it might be worthwhile making changes to get them active again. Though, I suppose if they went inactive once, they'll probably just end up that way again.

If you have somewhere else to move them, then it would definitely be worth considering, depending on whether you think they'll actually do any better somewhere else. But, I don't.

So... make some changes to get them active, if you want to give them another chance... move them somewhere else, if you have somewhere to move them. But, if you're happy with what you've written, don't delete them. There's really no point in doing that.

I am a firm believer in revamping, and so far I have had good results doing so. I think we all grow as writers, and some of my earlier work is not put together with the same quality as some of my current hubs. Transferring is ok.. but I don't know...it feels kind of like giving up to me.

I agree with revamping and yes, I too see good results.  Some of my earler work is not good quality so editing older Hubs can only help.  I too did not want to give up so fast. Maybe Hubpages is right to do what they did.  We'll soon see.

Especially with the new Google algorithms, I would consider revamping and tweaking your hubs giving special attention to keyword use and placement and see what happens.  Then if no improvement, on to plan B.

Those sleeping Zzzz's are a creation of yours which took both time and work. I don't know if you all realize it or not, but starting of today those idled hubs won't even be included with your profile unless you change the "NEW" settings on "edit your profile". You may all want to consider a quick fix to get those Zzz's back into circulation so that you can keep on hubbing - http://goody5.hubpages.com/hub/Quick-fi … led-status

I've found it prompts me to update them.  So long as they are republished on Hubpages after you do that I don't think there is a need to move them elsewhere.

I have some zzz's unfortunately and my plan is to update them with either more photo's and or videos at first to see if that helps. If not then I will add more content and tweak the content that was already there. If those hubs still end up in the ZZZ's then I will pull them off HubPages and post elsewhere.

You are going to do what I already started doing.  Great idea.

It's funny, I was wondering if I should bother with trying to revamp my sleeping hubs. At first there was only one or two that fell into this category, and then several. There is something about my Type A personality that just makes me have to do something about some of them. So I have revised some of the ones I know did well in the past to get them active again.

I'm not really sure if posting somewhere else is the answer as they may just end up getting no trafficelsewhere. I personally believe you are better to concentrate on updating your content and layout, even if only slightly. I've only just started rehubbing (if that's a word) and had a few idle hubs. I used the title tuner to change the titles, added some new photos and made a few cosmetic changes. Hey presto my hubs are now back on google. I also read that adding polls to your hubs is a really good way to get up the rankings so i think that could also be a good idea.

I always take the time to tweak my occasional sleepers. My usual reaction, once I start looking at one is :"what was I thinking?" The second time around with the keyword tool is very useful. I don't hate the zZz sign at all. It's a gentle wake up call.
