Green Tea is a Natural refresher antioxidant.  It is useful for a fatigued feeling, strengthens your body immunity and delays the natural ageing process. Besides it is     a good natural herb for heart provided it is taken daily in the morning and evening in a cup of freshly boiled water. One can enjoy it as a  rejuvenating hot drink or a refreshing iced drink. For better taste,  small amount of honey can be mixed in it, if desired.

I've heard that green tea can benefit everything from fighting cancer to helping your heart. However it's just like everything else in life, one day it's good for you, and then the next thing we know a study is done on it and it's bad for us. All I know is that green tea taste good when it's hot outside. Keep on hubbing  smile

The benefits of Green Tea are numerous...drink at least 3 cups per day and allow to brew for 3-5 minutes to bring out the " catechins "...It is  a great antioxidant and research has shown it's properties reduce the risk of some cancers..It is also used to reduce pain and inflammation in body tissues when the spice turmeric is added.
Honey can be added to make it more palatable..or a fresh squeeze of lemon...
The Chinese have been serving it with meals for centuries, as it has properties for helping digest foods easily.....

Green tea is rich in antioxidant called catechins, especially epigallocatechin 3 gallate (EGCG), which scavenge free radicals. Free radicals can damage DNA and contribute to blood clots, cancer and atherosclerosis.

It is considered beneficial for some types of cancers, heart disease mainly due to atherosclerosis, weight reduction and general immunity. It is very refreshing also.

Still there is a question how much green tea one need to drink to reap its health benefits.

But still one can enjoy it often.

The secret of green tea lies in the fact it is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant.

Anecdotally, I think it helps with weight maintenance.  I eat HORRIBLY, and I truly believe that if I didn't drink 3-4 cups of green tea 3-4 times a week, I would be several pounds heavier than I am.

Yes. Green tea has properties of health benefits. But one thing we need to take note is that it is not for everyone as it has the cooling effect. I had drank green tea in the past but after seeing TCM, I discovered that it is too cooling for my body to absorb its benefit.

Now I am drinking Pu Er instead that also has similar health benefits but without the effect of too cooling or heaty in Chinese medicine term.
