What causes my Hub score to plummet 6 points in a matter of 5 days?

Thank you for expelling this to me.

only 6 points? Not a big deal. My hub score typically ranges from 94-97 when I am on here everyday. But yesterday it dropped to 93, and today its 98. As long as it is above 70 you're just fine.

I don't really worry about it because there are quite a few factors involved in determining the score, including some random variability I believe.

If you want to try to get your score up, there are a few things you can do that will probably help, although it is hard to know exactly what has an affect on the hubscore.

Try going into the forums and responding to a few posts there. Then read through some new hubs from your followers and comment on the ones you like. Maybe even try the hub hopper. Also take a look at your hubs and maybe edit the ones with low scores adding more pictures, info or links to related stuff.

Hope this helps, but don't stress about your hubscore, it naturally changes quite a bit.

Do not worry too much! Hubscores are not that important in the grand scheme of things (only if you fall below a certain number which I believe is 75 or is that 70?). So your score of 89 is looking quite healthy!

My score regularly dives quickly down to 94/95 and then slowly creeps back to luckily, 100 sometimes!

I have no clear idea why this should be - there are any number of technical reasons such as links, number of answers, forum activity, hub comments, time spent on this site? It really is an unknown.

The bottom line is to keep writing original and informative hubs and in theory your hub score should reflect the effort you put in.

    All the very best.

My Hubscore goes up and down by 5 points frequently.  I have no idea what the cause is.  Sometimes I think the score is adjusted randomly just to make things more interesting.  It'd be kind of boring if its just stayed the same.

Sometimes mine will do that in a day. I go anywhere between 96 and 88. I quit worrying about it. smile
