    How do you write a limerick? What are the tips and tricks?

    I wouldn't be any good at them but from reading them i find the best are very funny, the last line always being the best and to rhymme in some way.
    If it doesn't ryhmme then it is just a joke, limericks are in my view funnier.

    The formula for writing a Limerick is as follows:
    A (long)
    A (long, rhymes with top line)
    B (short)
    B (short, rhymes with line above)
    A (long, rhymes with top and 2nd line) - this is the 'punch line'!
    Eg:
    "There was an old man from Kilmarnock,
    Who hated his neighbour's alarm clock.
    He kicked down the door,
    Then fell to the floor,
    When the neighbour, like, stuck out his foot, Jock!"
    Not the most brilliant example, but you get my drift?
