   After a close election and the president has made his promises, shouldn't we all be supportive?
   
   Why is it so essential that there is bi-partisan communication and cooperation in our congress in this crucial moment in American History?

   Actually, this claim about bi-partisanship being a benefit to the country depends on how bi-partisanship is defined. Essentially, according to Obama bi-partisanship means disavowing one's fundamental principles while accepting the principles of the other party. For example the Reagan and Bush (41) administration gave into tax increases for spending cuts in the "FUTURE". Those cuts never occurred.
   
   A second problem with this notion of bi-partisanship is that liberals want immediate tax increases without identifying one cut. In fact, what is offered by the left is a cut to the growth of government. That means instead of raising spending 10 percent  Obama is suggesting that raising spending only 8 percent and this is defined as a CUT in spending. That definition is contrary to any sensible meaning of spending cuts.
   
   Another area of "savings" liberals point to is "waste, fraud and abuse". Why has that particular savings not already occurred during the previous 4 years if it is such a significant savings? Should that not be a primary objective of government in the first place, and therefore it has no relevance in the current discussion.
   
   The bottom line with bi-partisanship is that it is a red herring. The reality is that we do NOT have a revenue problem - we the government has a spending problem. Reduce spending first - then there is something on the table to discuss.

   We all can be the judge on his promises that have not been kept. The government needs to cut spending and not raise more taxes on anyone.

   It depends on which of his promises you're referring to.  There are some things Obama wants to do that I oppose, such as raising taxes.

   Good question , Yes l!  We should be yet will we? , I think not !  America is truely divided almost equally  , and in that division there is blindness in the opening of minds, now that is of the left And  the right ! Media and government are too much in cahoots to inform us neutrally !   Our real problem though ........?   Congress! Senate!

   We should not be supportive when we KNOW beyond any reasonable doubt, that the direction Obama is taking our Nation leads to higher debt, higher taxes, bigger government and less freedom.
   
   Have you noticed that Businesses are laying people off in droves, cutting back employee hours to part time, or closing down their plants?
   
   Since the day after Obama was re-elected this has been going on, and it is only going to pick up pace after 1 Jan 2013... why do you think all those businesses are doing that?
   
   Maybe they are a bit smarter than the 'average' American voter (half of them anyway), and they know far better what the re-election of Obama meant for our Nation's economy, and its future, than those who voted for him.
   
   You don't support a President who is only going to bring harm to your family and your country.  You do what you can, to block him at any and every opportunity from accomplishing what he wants to do.  Unfortunately, with Obamacare going forward, and the Bush tax cuts expiring, the damage is already done... even if he accomplishes nothing else, his re-election ensures those two things will now occur... and the middle class (those making between 45k and 110k) are about to be crushed under the new taxes, penalties, and higher costs.
   
   Millions will lose their jobs (or be cut back to part time) between now and 2014.
   
   And the man that is most responsible for this happening, does not deserve anyone's support.
