What will you say about Israeli atrocities in Gaza strip?

Israeli jets are continued to pound the bombings at helpless people of Gaza strip. Many innocent citizens including children are being targeted. UNO (a slave to few powerful nations), seem to do nothing.

To the contrary, The Palestinians started this conflict by firing missiles into Israel. Israel is merely defending themselves, what about the Israeli casualties? Palestine is trying to rile up the still fragile Middle east to attack Israel.

The truth is "The most recent escalation started when the Israeli Army assassinated Ahmad al-Ja’bary, the leader of the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, and his deputy Mohammad al-Hamss." http://www.imemc.org/article/64561

He was an extreme threat to their security. Palestine would love to have the technology to do the same. How much Israeli blood did he have on his hands?

The Gaza people have no regular army, no jets, no tanks. They are only striving for their fundamental rights. The world know (weather they express it or not) that Israel is a usurper.

I think it depends on which side of the aisle you are on. Israel has fought and fought and won to keep their land. This discussion could go on and on. I see your point of view. I just agree to disagree. Blessings.

JThomp42, this is some of the nonsense that is taught to children.  How can there be peace when kids are taught this kind of violence on TV.  Hamas does not want peace.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XELcNMhk … re=related

LandmarkWealth, there are many more nonsense just around. The creation of Israel was itself  the biggest nonsense.

There was no Israel or Palestine. Israeli's won the territory in a military conflict and have tried to live peacfully since. That will not happen as long as Hamas dedicates their energy to launching 1000s of rockets instead of productive activities.

The creation of Israel was the result of a conspiracy. The western powers played their role in it for their wasted interest. The Israel could not have been exist even after it's illegal birth without more than unusual support from USA and some others

According to the UN it was legal.  And the many military conflicts including 1967 means it will continue to exist. Yet no matter how many "land for peace" deals they agree to,Hamas will continue to attack until they start WW3. Peace is not their goal

despite I am not a supporter of Hamas, they might have make many mistakes nor I am a Palestinian but I know that Israel is one of the biggest terror in the world. Every one knows who manipulate the UNO.

Israeli's don't teach there elementary school kids to blow up muslims on childrens shows.  They have every right to defend themselves while Hamas launches over 8k rockets into their cities in just a few years.

Yes Israelis don't need so because they have the most sophisticated weapons and one of the best air force to destroy the only few armed and most of the unarmed and innocent people.

Mash..... What is Israel to do? Just except the fact they are being attacked and ignore it? Any Country would do what Israel is doing. Hamas is fully aware of what will happen when they attack.

That's right. Every country will do the same but what happens then? The UN becomes active with the support of western powers to stop such type of attacks. You are right Hamas should realize the fact that "might is right".

Israel pulled out of Gaza 7 years ago. Hamas should devote their resources to building schools, hospitals and new innovation to further the lives of their people.  Instead of instigating attacks that they know will result in retaliation.

I am not asking you to. But the Palestinian people should get their population under control.  They allow this group to operate among their popultation knowing that it destroys the peace process.  Either they do it or the Israelis will do it for them

I think of all the people on both sides that just want to get along and I bet they outnumber those who don't. They both have stupid leaders like so many other countries who put power in front of the needs of the people. What is it going to take to make people think sanely, there is enough space and land for both peoples to live in peace side by side. When are they going to look towards the future and leave the past behind and find a FAIR compromise?  Or is the solution fighting until no one is left standing so the rest of the planet can say, well there is peace there at last.

I am tired of hearing it is one side or the others... its both sides and nationalistic ignorance.

to some extent I agree to you. However there are some logical reasons which are not easy to simply ignore by the Palestinian people with respect to occupation of Israel at  their land.

I do understand Mash and I also know there are Palestinians in Refugee camps for many years waiting to go home and they should be allowed to and that is what I mean by FAIR settlement.

The US just needs to stay out of it and support the UN resolutions for a change. If I were Palestinian, I would simply give up and move to another country and accept the fact that lands have been vanquished by conquerors since the beginning of time. The American Indians shared a similar fate due to our own colonial expansion. If I were an Israeli, I would stay out of it and become an atheist.

There are millions of Palestinian who gave up and migrated to other countries but you know no one allows such a large number of people to settle down for some socio- political reasoning. The attachment to holy places is another factor.

Condolences to the meek who get trampled by the Elephants on both sides. There is an arms embargo on Gaza yet Hamas seems to have endless amounts of missiles to fire into Israel. How did they get there? Israel knows how and allows it to happen because it is the only way to show the world that they are sitting in a Lions den but do not intend to leave.

The dilemma...... Hamas wants to provoke a conflict so that the rest of the Islamic world will join their cause. They have to do it in a way where Israel wont completely destroy them before that happens. Israel on the other hand knows that Hamas is building up arms so they have to go in from time to time and clear out the weapons before the build up reaches too dangerous of a level.

All this is being done to cast a light on the bigger threats in the region and build consensus to neutralize them. The innocent Palestinian people are the pawns in the game.

The helpless people who launch rockets into Israeli cities and strap bombs to their children to kill Israeli's regardless of how many concessions they receive.  The Israeli people have made concessions on the Sinai Penninsula, Gola Heights and the Gaza Strip along with numerous other concessions.  Nearly a decade ago the Palestinians were given Gaza to form their own gov't and in return they attack the Israel at every opportunity.  Hamas targets civilians, while Israeli's attempt surgical strikes at military targets.  So what do the Palestinians do...they set up rockets launchers on top of schools and hospitals.   The notion that the Israeli's are targeting civilians is totally false.  Anyone who has been there to see this first hand knows this.  The Israeli's are in posession of a nuclear arsenal.  They have enough non-nuclear firepower to wipe out the Paleistian population completely.  I wonder if the roles where reversed...would the Palestinians be so restrained.  Hardly.
The Israeli's allow Palestinians who are not hostile to their nation to live and work inside of Israel in peace. No such treatment do they receive in return.  The Israeli's are the only ones who have sought peace in that region.  The Palestinians are not helpless.  They held elections and helped themselves to electing a terrorist organization as their government that seeks anything but peace.

I didn't list any figures.  The world cries foul when the Israeli's attempt to build a wall around the west bank. Instead they should just let the suicide bombers in. How quick we forget it was Arafat who walked away from Camp David 2001 and attacked
