Put out quality hubs that are published regularly. Be active in the community, on forums and by reading and commenting on other people's articles. Show links to your hubs on places like Twitter to friends. Submit your article links to places like Stumbleupon with out spamming.

Create a good and quality hubs. Always choose a topic that is very relevant to discuss for today. Timely. And of course put relevant information, pictures, videos, statistics, etc. on every topic that you will discussed. Also you may create a forums/discussions.

One thing that you want to do to increase your hub traffic is to write effective summaries. This seems like a small thing, but actually, it is a major thing. I have been deficient in my writing of summaries up until this point and it has caused me increasing traffic, which amount to a decease in earnings. This is my fault because I did not take the time to write effective summaries for all of my hubs. I am in the process of correcting this problem now.
If you are new to hubpages this is a good time to start off right by doing your summaries.
    Regards,
    Dr. Haddox

The short answer is produce quality useful content and then help people to find it.

The long answer is... see my hub all about this...

First of all, you need to write more than one hub. I didn't see good traffic until I had several of them and had been here a while. Link your hubs together if they go together. Once you have several hubs, start your own facebook page just for your hubs.

Share your hubs with your friends on Facebook. Include the url to your profile page underneath your name on all emails that aren't professional. Start a twitter account and share them. Join Redgage to share them.

Check the competition before writing a hub. If there are already millions and sometimes billions, forget it unless yours is really better than the top 3 listed at Google.
