Is Eden the same place as Earth, or is Earth a place were Adam's lot were cast down to?

Some scholars say Eden was the original garden in which god placed adam after creating man. However, when adam was tempted by the serpent, we are said to have fallen. Some scholars say we fell to the earth. Others say that it was our state that fell from being close to and like god to being close to and like the serpent. It is our state that changed not our place. And therefore our place, though we call it the earth, it is still Eden. But man lives his life out now in Eden but as a mortal or as a creation that will die. Scholars say that in eating the forbidden fruit and being led by the serpent mankind became ugly, evil, and dark, just like the serpent that had been cast out.

Eden is now a town in the state of North Carolina. It was incorporated in 1969 from three smaller mill towns, and you'll find it located in the Piedmont near the Virginia boarder. On Fridays you'll find all of the apples in the world that you need at the local flea market. This is a fact, but I'm sure it wasn't quite the answer that you were looking for.

I cannot say for sure, but hypothetically, Eden could have been what some refer to as Pangea. The earth as we know it before continental drift occured.

If I am not mistaken, Scripture says that the Tigris, Euphrates, Nile, and Ganges Rivers ran through the Garden of Eden. This, therefore, would lead me to believe the Garden of Eden was huge, but much smaller in comparison to Eden itself.

I don't think the exact location on earth will ever be found because of the great flood where water covered the earth and Noah and his family were the only survivors. Although many believe it was located in the Mesopotamian region near what is now called Iraq.
