Do you think the hubpages forums are useful or pointless?

Do you feel that the hubpages forums are useful or do you think that they are merely loaded down with pointless and uninformative arguements that add nothing of value to the hubpages experience?

I think it depends on who you are and what the topic is. Sometimes i'ts a good way to vent a frustration, to find the people that are agreeing with you to validate what you're feeling. Sometimes you can find out more information. If nothing else, I think it's helpful mainly as it allows you to have that extra bit of exposure, get people interesting in who you are and what your hubs might be about

I think they are argue-mental and I stay clear of them.

Some of it's just for fun and socializing, some is useful. When I see topics I'm not interested in or that have degenerated into circular arguments, I go elsewhere.

I think that the circular arguements dominate the forums. Thanks for commenting.

I skim the topics every day or so but rarely find a discussion worth getting involved in. It seems like almost every thread is either religious propaganda/argument, or it's people bitching about how dissatisfied they are with HubPages. Neither of these areas interest me very much.

I completely agree. On the rare occasion that I find something in the forum that does interest me it is usually a year or two old.

I try to stick mainly to the Help with HP forum. I look for topics that I'm not up to speed on or folks asking for help on a topic that I actually know something about.

They're occasionally useful, occasionally pointless. Some people have entirely too much time on their hands and use forums as a way to waste time. But some posts are extremely useful and contribute to everyone. I just look at the title and pass on if it's not a compelling topic.

I'd say the forums are useful. Apart from providing an opportunity to know more about hubbers they are also a vital part of free and open debate that we have a right to.

Forums and the question section are very useful especially to new hubbers like me. It is a source of immense knowledge. I can't mention the much I have learned from these forums. Not to mention the amazing people I have met in the process. Bottom line, Forums are not only useful, they are AWESOME

There is a mix of forums for everyone . Some are really helpful like travel - help on Hubpages .
One is Reccommend another hubbers hub where you have a look at the last persons hubs and reccommend one of them in the forum . I try leave a comment , vote it up if I like the hub so that helps everyone who gets involved .
I stay away from arguments etc .

I was not aware of that thread. If I have time I'll look at it. Thanks for commenting.
