No, I don't because I don't want my friends to know what I am doing. But it is a great way to get a wider audience for your creations.

I use twitter, facebook and linkedin to gain more exposure for my hubs.  I post links to my hubs on these sites and in some cases I post links on pinterest.  Gaining exposure for my writing involves providing links from my social networking sites.  I also post a link to my hubs on my website.

Yes, I use twitter to promote my hubs. I also tweet hubs with slow traffic more than once because it's likely it was not seen by all of your followers the first tweet. Another thing I do is have a different lead in statement according to what's trending. For example, for the Newtown tragedy, I lead with a condolence followed by my hub poem on sibling death. The views increased instantly for several days. And the last thing I do is after that lead in, I add "retweet." This way even if your followers don't read it, they will at least retweet. I figured these tricks out myself trying to increase traffic and gain a larger audience.

I also use Twitter to promote my hubs. Bit.ly to shorten the URL addresses.

No, I generally do not share my hubs with my friends (or) promote my hubs in my social networking sites. But yeah, I guess it would help you in fetching more number of hits to your hubs.

I don't take any special efforts in promoting them. Once the hub is featured, it will start coming up in the search engine results.

I just concentrate on writing good content and leave the 'number of hits' I get to the search engines!
