Small act of loving kindness, how did it make a difference for you? How could we pass it on?

When we concentrate on love, life transforms. Even small acts of loving kindness can make a huge difference. How have you been affected in the past? How could we keep it going? Let's be at the cause and start a chain reaction of LOVE xo

I believe just being able to help someone along the way without them asking is a great way of showing love and kindness for one another.  Those little things mean a lot to someone!

so true Dr Cil, I am sure even smiles and general curtesy goes a long way for everyone. Sometimes I can get so offended when I receive bad service, as it is so easy to just smile and be nice.

It makes a gigantic difference. Just opening a door, saying thank you, paying for someone else's meal, offering them a chair, etc. It brightens both of the individuals day.

indeed iburmaster, they take very little effort yet make such wonderful impact! A very little experiment is 2 walk down a busy street and smile whole heartedly 2 everyone that comes your way....very soon everyone will be smiling without knowing why!

I wrote an entire Hub on this subject...you have no idea how it affects someone until one day you receive flowers out of nowhere on your doorstep unexpectedly.  Be kind to everyone you can, treat those you love well and go the extra mile for those having a particularly difficult time.  It will come back to you in the best way!

I helped someone long ago. She was homeless, sitting in the cold dark and weeping. Gave her enough money to get an apartment despite my friends constant warning that she would just get high. She didn't get high with the money. Twenty years later she found me through facebook  to say thank you, and she told me how it changed her life. She said she was thinking of suicide that night! For many years i never knew what happened to her, but it didn't matter, because the spiritual gifts i received can't be bought with any amount of money; not to mention i have an eternal friend who has devoted her life to helping battered and homeless women. The feeling from it all is golden!

I think the difference that was made by the smallest act of loving kindness was simply that than which no greater result could have come from a larger bestowal of kindness.

Great or small, kindness is kindness, and cannot be compared with words of dichotomy like great, or small.  What does kindness have to do with ends of human spectrums?  I have witnessed no small acts of kindness, as even the most simple act gave me hope, even if that was the one bestowal that kindness passed to me.

If kindness is mirrored, then it is certainly being passed along.

Hope is very good to have and give, and when we are kind to others there  CERTAIN is hope for we who are kind.

I agree, no kindness is ever too small yet a tiny little cruelty could wreak th biggest havac. I've witnessed cruel punishment in th classroom where what th naughty kid really needs is positive attention & a little love. A little hope goes a long

Great Question Violet!!! We can always be the change we want to see in the world on a daily basis. Just simply living a life of grace peace and love and being that to all we meet. Just recently I read about a guy who gave up his home for a year to help a homless single mom and her 3 children, to give them a chance to get thier feet back on the ground and have a fighting chance to get ahead in the world. If there were more people like that the world would definitely be a better place smile!!! So simply do what we can to make someone else happy and in turn it will make us happy too!!! Smile, let someone ahead in traffic, help a senior across the street if they need it....just give a little extra effort and it could mean the world to someone. Thanks Violet!!!!

I just love th way u put it: We can be the change we want to see in the world on a daily basis! I remember reading a story, a boy planned 2 kill himself. He cleared out his school locker, dropped his books and a kind boy helped him. He decided 2 live

When I was eight, I was taken out of my southern country school by my mother early on day, got told to hop onto a truck, and woke up next morning in the capital city 8 hrs car ride away. Just like that, I lost all my childhood buddies without saying goodbye. I remembered I had heaps of friends who loved me exactly as I was. But overnight, my world had become misshapen. I went to the new school full of smart city kids with a strange accent. No one bothered talking to me, strange and withdrawn. I started to get sick all the time and missed a lot of school. The only person who managed to make everything better was my teacher Ms. Wong. For some reason, she was always kind 2 me and took me back 2 her place for extra tutoring for free. This clue-less, mute child who suddenly found herself friendless. I don't think I would have survived as well without her loving kindness. She even made me a model student three years in a row, much to everyone's dismay (including my own). Maybe because of her kindness towards me, I have always been especially kind to people who are "mis-placed" or find themselves out of their normal territory. I made sure I befriended a new girl who came from HongKong and made her feel at home. I loved my job as a flight attendant where I found myself looking after all manner of people in "transition" in mid-air at 35.000 ft. Actually, I have never traced my special-kindness-to-strangers 2 Ms. Wong until today, until right this minute. I am in awe at the far reaching power that her kindness instilled in me, quite unconsciously all this years.
She was also the one who noticed my artistic talent and put my name down for competitions from age 9.
One day, whilst in my hotel room in Waiheke island, Hawaii, I happened 2 look out of the window, saw a car stopped by the side of the road for a few minutes. When the car left, I saw a young woman lying on the pavement, she looked like she was fast asleep.
I went and found some lunch at the shopping mall next door, when I walked pass that stretch of road 2 go back to my hotel room ( I needed 2 get ready for a flight back to Auckland), I saw that young woman still on the pavement as if she was sound asleep. Not knowing what 2 do, in a foreign country with a flight 2 catch, I did the only thing I could think of, which was leaving my lunch box right next 2 her. By the time I got back 2 my hotel room, got into my uniform, I looked out of the window and she was no longer there. I prayed for her 2 b looked after

WOW... I could so relate to every word. The pain of being whisked away and then the kindness of Ms. Wong. My Ms. Wong was a Mr. Brown, a black art teacher (5th grade) who in many ways saved my world through his encouragement.
