   Do you enjoy visiting the beach during the winter?
   
   My husband and I love going to the beach in winter. We do not swim of course but love walking the beach.

   Not really. When visiting the beach, I love seeing the sun, smelling the sun tan lotion, going into the water, battling the seagulls for the baby turtles to survive, etc. During the winter, the best spot to go is home. To relax and enjoy the cold weather.

   Love the beach any time of the year.  You might say Northern California beaches are wintery all year round, so I don't know any better.
   But I loved the beach when we lived in Guam.  Nice warm water all year round.

   I love the beach in winter. My hobby is metal detecting and the beach in winter is a great place to spend a nice winter day enjoying the search.

   I probably would if the beaches around me were accessible in the winter! It's currently about -39 degrees C right now and everything is covered in snow.. The beach I frequent in the summer is closed..
   But I do enjoy visiting the beach in other countries My fiance and I have been lucky enough to travel to beach destinations the last four winters.. Florida twice, Dominican Republic last year and we're booking a last minute trip tomorrow with the hope to leave next weekend.. Will probably be to Cuba.. They seem to have some of the most wonderful beaches..

      Wow! The coast of Georgia (US) is usually around 50-60 F. Very pleasant. It is wonderful that you get to visit pleasant beaches in the winter. Thanks for commenting.

   It was winter during my visit to Melbourne's Great Ocean Road area in June last year. It was fun although too cold for a swim. On the way to the Great Ocean Road we also saw some brave surfers going into the waters. So , yes why not visit in winter too?
