What class do you usually choose while playing an online role-playing game? Why?
There are four basic classes common in most RPGs which include a tanker, offensive magic-caster, buffer, and an assassin-type. I prefer to be a tank in almost every MMORPG I joined since it's less expensive given you don't need to purchase a lot of potions while leveling/farming. Do you prefer tanks like me? Or you often go for casters or a purely offensive melee class?
My favorite class to play on World of Warcraft is a night-elf druid. They can cast spells using mana and my character can change into different animals. In my opinion playing a night-elf druid on World of Warcraft lets the player level up faster. These characters can solo very well, and can heal themselves without having to make bandages or use healing potions.
An all-round class. That's really cool. I never played WoW but I'm judging from your experience, it's not a surprise why it's one of the most popular MMORPG today.
I normally go for tanks. That's what I played in wow and in most of the other RPGs I've played. I sometimes use mages though for fun.
Same here. I remember a game which features Mages with spell shields making them pretty good tanks as well.
Reminds me of cleric classes lol. I used to try make some for games like NWN because they could wear armor. But usually I just went sorc and cast stone skin, and other protection buffs. Those usually do the trick.
I generally go for the sword and shield warrior, which is funny because I hate tanking. I pick the warrior because I like melee weapons and I like being able to take a punch, but when I have to micro-manage aggro to keep my team alive, it stops being fun for me and starts being nerve-wracking. It doesn't help that random dungeons in WoW have particularly snotty people who insist you must 'learn your class' if you do anything wrong. (or just kick you out of the group). So, while my first choice is usually a warrior, I tend to come to my senses and make a hunter/ranger character later, which better suits my play style.
So true. The problem about majority if not all tankers in MMORPGs today is that they tend to be useless without a party. Either too slow to chase down enemies or lacks destructive skills. In some games, tankers can be disregarded during pvp.
I have never played World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy and other MMORPGs that are perceived to be meant for serious avid gamers, but I do play games that are specifically tailored towards children (I don't want myself to become too addicted and engrossed, and I somehow dislike lurid games). I opt the 'healer' role, usually because they do not die easily upon damage, and they can heal other players, which is a feature both constructive and affable. Healers can even heal themselves and others over time, which makes it really useful during PVPs and skirmishes. As you heal others, you might never know when new friendships are forged.
I know people who regret having to choose other classes other than the healing ilk. And it is definitely hilarious to see people being irritated when I keep on healing myself and my teammates. Being able to 'live' longer makes you nearly invincible.
True..Probably the only weakness of those type of characters are sealers. You won't be of so much use if you can't cast any spell. hehe
I would say mage or healer classes there more fun for me to play with since I either like being able to heal or have access to AOE type attacks.
A mage/magician type person because their powers are incredibly powerful. I also like archer elves because even though they are easily hurt (like mages) they snipe, which I enjoy Roleplaying.

What's that movie where the girl is video-recording a suicide note while playing cello? I think...it's from the mid-80s to early 90s. She has a shotgun rigged up to shoot her if anyone opens her bedroom door. I THOUGHT that it was Kyra Sedgwick, but after looking at IMDB I don't think that it...
