How do you spend your Saturdays?

Laundry, cleaning, relaxing, watching sports, how do you spend your Saturdays after a long hard work or school week?

I spend them with the Lord God. The Word of God commands in Exodus 20:8-11 to "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God...". Thats the beginning of the 4th Commandment. Many claim sunday is the sabbath because their CHURCH said so. Acts 5:29 says "We ought to obey God rather than men". In October 1582, Pope Gregory XIII changed the Gregorian calendar around by making sunday the 7th day. This was done by a man, NOT God. There is no scripture to refer you to that shows where God gave this man authority to switch around the days that He, God Himself created in the order He did, Saturday being the seventh day, the day He commands us to keep holy. www.romeschallenge.com   www.sabbathtruth.com    www.sundaylaw.net   are just a few websites that actually have proof by people who are loyal to God by doing what God says and not what sinful, fallen man commands. Happy Sabbath.

Pretty much the same as any other day. Neither AnniePie nor myself are wage slaves any longer. All of our "work" and "study" is done at home, mostly online.

The morning is always filled with a hot breakfast, tea, and cleaning house. The afternoon usually has visits to friends or doing some homework.

I too find Saturday mornings is when you have time to enjoy a real relaxing breakfast since you aren't rushing off to school or work.

I often try to draw, sometimes I read if I am in the mood, I meditate, I spend time with family, I write if I am in the right mood, and overall I work on trying to become better with myself and the skills I have.

That seems like an ideal way to spend Saturdays.

I spent yesterday planting trees and digging (I help out with some conservation work). I've never planted trees before and it was a lot of fun, they were really very small (2 - 3 feet high). That said, my arms and shoulders *ache* today!

I spent yesterday afternoon helping out in an old Victorian cemetary, cutting back brambles, digging out old roots and generally trying to make it look nice.

And yesterday eveining, watching some ice hockey - It was a pretty good day!
