   About Blocking Someone On FaceBook
   
   If I block someone on my FaceBook account, will he (the blocked member) be able to see my avatar on another FaceBook member's site on which I appear in that member's list of friends? In this case will the blocked FaceBook member be able to find my FB page via a Google search when he's logged out of his FB account?

   No, when you block someone, they are blocked completely. I have had to do this myself. They have no way of finding you or getting in touch with you in any way.

   If you block someone they cannot see you on Facebook at all. It is as if you don't have an account. I am not sure about when they are logged out, though I think that you cannot view a profile unless you are logged in even if you find it on Google unless it is a public profile. Depending on your profile settings they could view your profile via someone elses or a mutual friend. I had a problem with someone logging into my sons account without him knowing to look at mine.

      Thank you Claire, I guess he'll be able to find me via a search engine provided I have not disabled search on my FB account! What do you think?

      I think so because the search engine would not know you had blocked him. But he would have to log into facebook to actually view your page and then the block would come into force. So as long you keep your profile set to friends only, it should be ok

      Elderberry Arts is exactly right.  I have very much improved my enjoyment of Facebook by using the block feature, and I'd encourage anyone to just go ahead and block that person who is bothering them.

   If you block someone from your Facebook, the blocked one wont be able to see any trace of you on Facebook. That includes you on friends lists of other FB profiles. Any link going to your profile will be inaccessible to the blocked one. A link which should be a link won't actually appear as a link like for instance if you have chat archives, the name of the person won't appear as a link anymore and the profile picture won't be displayed. You won't be searchable on each other's FB seach I guess. In the case of Google, I think if you have a public account, you will be searchable but further transactions won't be made by the one who searched for you since he/she will need to log in.

   To complete your answer, just remember that you blocked the account (not the ip or something understand by facebook else facebook), log is the single way facebook have to detect this person and block his access to your account! So, the person must be login in for this feature to work! If you disable searches engines index for your profile, the person will still able to find your url as basic as it is as public if he know your exact facebook url profile! Just take care of people you accept in your friend list is the most secure mesure!

   Although you have blocked them, in some cases you will be able to be seen on mutual friends posts and photo's.
   
   There is also nothing to stop that person logging out of their blocked facebook account and viewing your avatar, as a public person or using / viewing through someone else's account.
   
   There is no true way to totally block someone of facebook, when you can create a new, fake account, in a few minute's.
