Are there any original ideas left? Has every thing already been written?
Many subjects have been written about. Do some research at Hubpages, see if there's something you can come up with that's totally original. if not, put your own life experiences and writing style into writing whatever you want, whether it's been written about or not. There are billions of books in the world that have been written about similar subjects, but it's what the writer puts into the story that makes it original and interesting. Two people can write totally different articles/stories about the same thing. Good luck!
Most great ideas are just new ways of looking at old things or successfully combine two or more other ideas. When you're writing, it's easier to create a unique approach and voice than it is to write about a unique idea. What insight does your experience give you, how can you share that with others and how is it useful to them?
If you can answer those questions, it can help you to write original and engaging content.
Have you heard of ideas being described as 'memes'? This comes from an observation by Richard Dawkins in his book The Selfish Gene that ideas 'behave' in a simillar way to genes. Ideas or 'memes' are like informational organisms that transmit from person to person via the vector of language. They evolve and change, combine and replicate, reproduce and spread. New things can be written because new ideas come into being through the blending, synthesizing and evolution of old ideas.
Another factor involved in this is the phenomenon of linguistic evolution. The English language, for instance grows yearly with new words added all the time. Check out the examples here: http://aggslanguage.wordpress.com/a-z-n … fty-years/
New words and concepts are also constantly coming into being as the scientific community need words to describe the new phenomena that they are begining to describe from their observations. These words filter into common usage through a process like linguistic osmosis. The same happens in all branches of acedemia - new theories, new words, new concepts all filtering down to into the lay language of the average population.
This means that an educated person using modern vocabulary necessarilly must be writing original things. The very new concepts that are threaded through their creations did not exists in previous years and so previous generations could not have written anything with those influences.
In short... yes - there are plenty of original ideas left. In fact - there are more than there ever has been at any time. Our understanding of our universe, and our ability to describe it is increasing at an exponential rate. Each new discovery opens up new vistas of creative vision for us to explore. We live in very exciting times...
thanks guys for answering my question. this was going on my mind from few days
i had also written a blog on this topic

i completely agree with you.
It's not possible for Hubpages to host every bit of a idea available. There are billions of people across the globe and let us say one can come up with a new idea every day. You do the math. To be honest, I find Hubpages categories very limited as most of my hubs doesn't fit to any. Or I'm just weird? haha Anyways, good luck here in Hubpages and God bless!
Yes! There are ideas left! The universe is a creative realm in which creation is always occurring--including new ideas. Having said that, there are age-old themes that weave their way through all ideas--old and new. The battle of good and evil--the questions related to pain and suffering--the story of love--conquering and overcoming etc. These principles repeat--but the ideas within them and understanding of what they are can be unique. Each person on earth is unique, therefore each should have a unique perspective on life to offer. :-)
Put a different spin on what has been written already (like redecorating an old house). That's original.

I'm kinda new to this forum but in reading through some of the threads on religion I was amazed at the spectrum of theories and beliefs. In all of what I read, which wasn't ALL the topics, I didn't see this question posed by anyone, so I thought I would present it. Feel free to reply as you wish, I...
