Is it permissable to write about another website on HP?

It is a cooking/recipe site that I subscribe to and has many good features, Is it okay to do a hub like that?

Interesting and relevant question. I actually don't know the answer but I would like to follow your question and learn with you if I may smile

Well, I have seen many hubs on other writing sites that one can write on and earn money, and they were very detailed in the hubs, so it must be okay.  However, I do not know the official answer on that question, but would love to know. The site you are inquiring of sounds very interesting and useful.

Of course! I've gotten away with it before. I wouldn't use HP if they didn't allow me to do that. But I think I see what you're getting at. You're wondering if HP will let you write about a site it might consider as competition. If it doesn't break any of the rules set out in the TOS, then it should be fine.

I may have to review those.

If it is wrong, many of us are in trouble. I'm sure you'll find the right answer in the HubPages learning center. I believe it's okay to write about other sites if your material is not written elsewhere. Be careful about being over promotional, but if you are you will receive a warning about the problem. HubPages are very good about letting you fix any goofs you post. Good luck.

I believe so. I did two hubs on Textbroker and Linkedin. Hubpages has never demanded me to take either one down.

If HP refuses to let one of us review or evaluate or compare or praise another legitimate site, then it is clearly applying censorship.....and I would be out of here in a nanosecond.  An exception would be a Hubber who wanted to quote extensively from or otherwise review material from a site dedicated to hate and/or which advocates or promotes violence towards targeted groups.

Yeah. I wrote a hub about Textbroker and Hubpages didn't have a problem with it.
