   I can only speak of the ranges that I have personally seen. The cascade range was in my backyard in Oregon, the Bitterroots surrounded where I lived in Coeur d' Alene, the San Jacinto range towered above Palm Springs, where I was born. But the most beautiful range I have seen with my own eyes was the snow capped Rocky Mountain range in Montana!

   I have seen a few , but the range that blows me away for pure beauty is the Pyrenees mountains as they plunge down into the Bay of Biscay . The blend of mountain and ocean sunshine whispy coulds hugging the cliff faces and  emerald and sapphire vistas everywhere with dream world visions of snow capped mountians .Ha I was almost there then !!!!!

   Hubby and I agree with Radiantwriting! Looking west,coming down Hwy 2 out of Shelby Mt has to be the most breathtaking sight of all! Thats the east face of the Rocky Mountains.
   However, for me personally, the best sight of all was the Sleeping Indian just outside of the Hole in Wyoming. We got to work at the fur stand there and lived in tipi's all summer so when I woke and stepped outside, that was what I saw every morning! The Snake River, the elk refuge and the sleeping indian mountain. Gorgeous!
