Can you spot the differences in these two prayers?
Two versions of prayer.
NIV: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us, and lead us not into
temptation.
KJV: Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, as in Heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us
our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but
deliver us from evil.
Can you make the distinctions that these two prayers are not the same?
I don't want to start an argument, but my NIV says:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
Sorry, I did not mention that the verses I was referencing are Luke 11:2-4 in the NIV and KJV.
Well that makes more sense. I will not attempt to defend the Bible. It does that well enough on its own My NIV footnotes say that some manuscripts add the parts that are "missing" between the two versions.

I dont know where you want to go with this as neither are correct. The first is missing 1/2 and the 2nd is not worded correctly.and is missing some.
I wonder is that what you wondered, how many would see they are both incomplete.
I had to look up the "newest (until they change it again) NIV in the internet as I threw mine away a long time ago.
The verses are quoted from Luke 11:2-4, not from Matthew 6. The KJV verses are quoted from the Cambridge Edition.
Why do they keep changing it?
Isn't it a case of say what Jesus recommended his Disciples to say, rather than what the congregation thinks he should've said?

With each new modern version of the "Bible" that comes out, is a piece by piece destruction of the Word of God.
If anyone is so concerned about the wording and what edition it came from, the prayer is not from the heart. So, why bother? There is a big difference between saying a prayer and reciting one. If you believe in God, you understand that he cares what's in your heart; not what comes out of your mouth. God always understands.
Our prayers should align with God's will; otherwise, they will be soulish in nature, "for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

For the very many years I was in Church attendance, the Kingdom of God was always equated with Heaven. It was a future event that only those who believed in Jesus would see either when they died or were raptured, whilst the remainder of humanity would go to hell. A Christian could be disqualified...

If only 144,000 will be ruling with Jesus on the Kingdom on earth..how come so many believe that wheIn the Lord's prayer we ask that His kingdom be on Earth as in Heaven. So it means that if there is a Earthly Kingdom..there has to be people living in it..right? So it is logical then that not...
