What are the signs of jealousy?
Can you love without an ounce of jealousy?
Jealousy usually steems from either irrational thinking or the belief that you love your mate (more) than they love you!
If one truly (believes) their mate is madly "in love" with them and values their relationship to the utmost then there is very little to get jealous about. Doubt creates jealousy, insecurity, and trust issues.
For others it's the fear of "competition" that causes them to want to (control) their mate. They try to change their mate's behavior towards others or the way they dress. I've known some people who feel betrayed if their mate smiles and says hello or laughs with another person. Some don't want them to spend time with their own family!
If you or the person you are with has to "change" their (core) being in order to keep the other person happy then you are (wrong) for one another. Ultimately we're all looking to be loved for who we are!
Hi, the signs of jealousy are pretty horrible to be honest. If its you feeling jealous then it will affect your body in various ways. To start with the shock of seeing someone you love for example, with someone else can make you hyperventilate, breath too quickly, and you can pass out. Your hands feel clammy and cold, and you break out into a sweat. Your stomach feels as though its in knots, and the fight and flight mechanism of your body kicks in. You want to run away and hide. It can also make you get really angry very quickly and the burst of adrenaline will pump blood to your muscles making you feel strong. you feel that you want to hit the person, but by taking deep breaths you can calm down and hopefully walk away.
If you think someone else is jealous the signs are there in the above comment. Their face will go very red, then change white within seconds, Their movements will become stilted and they won't know how to talk to you or the person they are jealous of. Not a pleasant thing i must add!
One last point, no you can't love without jealousy, I don't believe its possible. to love means that you feel the bad stuff as well as the good.
I believe you can and I honestly say I do. I used to be jelaous in my younger years and I think it is often a sign of low selfesteem and your own feelings of zero selfworth and inadequacy. In twenty five years of stable marriage I have learnt that there is no reason for me to be jealous and I have learnt to love, value and appreciate myself again. Now I can love my close friends as well as my special soulmate without feeling of any possessiveness or jealousy and it is very empowering feeling:)

This is the first time I have been into a relationship because I was too career focused. My boyfriend used to be a renowned playboy and I often feel the jealousy inside. I get irritated when he is with other girls because I can feel that he is flirting with them but it seemed natural to him; but it...

Is it fair to expect change from someone in marriage? We all know we aren't suppose to change people, but is it wrong to expect them to evolve into the relationship as much as you do? Everyone changes a little when they marry(or live together) simply because you are combining 2 personalities in one...
