Hey Livinggood. If you want others to read and visit your hubs and if you want to make some money off of it, then you should really advertise your hubs. You can start my researching keywords which you later on employ into your texts. On the basis of this keywords, google ranks your hubs in its search engine.
Then you could start advertising your hubs via social networks.
no, but i'm severely considering it. I like the idea of having people read my blog, regardless of making money. But if i want to earn money for this, i need to get the word out.
Of course, i could be thinking of this the wrong way entirely.
Advertise as in buy advertisements for the hubs or advertise as in market them? One could advertise hubs via Google Adwords or other paid options but I don't think you would make money from it.
I choose to advertise my hubs through a variety of free methods like social media, search engine marketing and others.
But I don't do nearly as much as I could, partially because I prefer to use my marketing on more lucrative endeavors, like the blogs I write on.
Certainly, marketing or advertising your hubs is a must if you want to increase your traffic and make more money.
Yes, to maintain traffic you have to promote your hubs. Interest will wane, no matter how good the hub. It's like the "flavor of the month" syndrome: People will move on after they've tasted it. You will always need to seek out new readers. Unless you hit the organic traffic jackpot, you have to reach out for traffic. I use my fb fan page (business page), twitter, and hub links in email. I recently started using Pinterest and need to learn how to maximize my Google account.
It takes to full strength of a active community to master this are of online marketing and for that of your articles. This hub goes into great detail as to how it can be done effectively. read more
No, I don't think you can make much money out of writing hubs. More traffic does not necessarily translate into a commensurate increase in AdSense revenue. For all you know, you may be throwing good money, chasing after bad money. Treat writing as a hobby and the AdSense revenue as a bonus, not as an income.
So far, I've only put them on my facebook and Twitter page. I haven't advertised them anywhere else. That might change in the future as I write more, but for now those are the only two places.
As janshares answered, we need to advertise. But currently I don't know how to go about it.
I am using twitter FaceBook and Pinterest. I am posting all my links in these three social networks site. There are many more we need to explore and post our hubpages.
I would appreciate if anyone can come up with ideas on how to advertise our hubpages to improve page views.

One thing that I've noticed in my traffic stats is that one particular hub about a particular acoustic guitar - seems to be doing better than other hubs about what I would think would be guitars that are more sought after. So I looked at the hub that is doing so well, and tried to figure out why...
