Extremely emotional, but it would really depend on which planets and what quadrant the preponderance is in. It would also really depend on what their ascendant is. IE: I have 5 planets in fire, but my ascendant is Capricorn so my chart is ruled by earth not fire. I'd have to see their chart to really give you a description. The signs the planets are in would also make a difference.

You are spot on.  People with a preponderance of the water element in their birth charts can be quite emotional.  They also can be highly intuitive and psychic. I have five planets in water signs and a  water ascendant; however, my sun sign is Virgo.

That sun in Virgo would give a bit of balance to your emotionality and make you more intuitive actually. Your water ascendant tips the scale though so to speak. I'd be interested to know where your Mercury is. smile

That is only a small consideration.  So what!  Could be Cancer or Scorpio or Pisces.  Those 3 are water, but they are very different.  Yes, emotion is involved but you get any of those 3 by the tail and you have a completely different beast.  If I were going to use any word as a generality, it would be a great tendency to feel "muddled".  I would look for air and earth and fire in key places to "unmuddle" them.  Cancer is "seashore" water.  Scorpio is psychically water.  Pisces is oceanic water.  Depths and shallows, tides and duality.   Water is interesting, but it doesn't say anything terribly specific until you look at sun, moon, rising, midheaven.  A STELLIUM of planets in ONE water sign, now that would be interesting.

Good, analytical description of the preponderance of the water element in the birth chart.
