   It seems to me that either everything has meaning or nothing does.  I am going to opt for the first - that everything has meaning.  The meaning is not inherent in the dream or fantasy, though, but rather in the designs of their origin; their origin, of course being us.  If I review every day of my life, I can honestly say that on the surface, there is not nearly as much going on as I make it seem like there is.
   I had a dream last night filled with anxiety about what gift to give a dear friend for her birthday.  What did I want the gift to mean?  What did the dream say about my intentions.  As far as I know, no one but me is in here with these ideas.  So, I would say I am giving a heck of a lot more meaning to things than maybe I might.
   As far as fantasies, I once told a group of friends that my most cherished fantasy was to own a home on every great golf course in the world.  The meaning of that is very clear to me.  I just want to play golf and my dream and fantasy is to play it well.

   To me, my dreams and fantasies turn into stories and conversation. They allow my subconscious to add to the realities we experience on a daily basis.
   
   I believe every writer utilizes their dreams and such to better create their content, brand if you will... Plus, exercising this escapism is usually healthy for your mind and body.
   
   I guess these illusions which at times can become reality, mean a great deal to one's well being and life in general. At least to an extent. You don't want to go through life in "Fantasy Land," yet if using them to your advantage in many aspects of your living routine, the rewards will be endless, not necessarily monetary but for overall life experience.
