    Say What?????

Yesterday I realized that I lost a few Accolades.. the bar-bell and a few of the sqiggly line ones..  do they give them then take them away?

I don't think accolades get taken away. I have 11 on my profile and none resemble a bar-bell or a squiggly line.... Can you clarify which ones you are talking about? Perhaps you can remember what they stand for (their name, etc.)?

I know the comments one that says what lever commenter you are can change. For example, you can got from being a level V to a level IV. But I don't think it would vanish...if you stopped commenting for a long time...

I see the accolade that says you write engaging hubs that people like to read from start to finish is gone. That's the one that looks like the sand clock or whatever the correct name for that would be...Wonder why it is gone.

No, Frank, they do not take them away, but they are replaced if a higher level one, such as a two year mark is replaced by the one year anniversary.  Also, if you happen to answer or ask more questions and they are chosen, if the number chances on that certain accolade it is replaced with new one indicating the higher one, and the old one just does not remain, but it is never taken away, so-to-speak.  For example, if your hubs have been viewed over initially 10,000 times, that accolade will eventually be replaced with a higher amount accolade, once your hubs have been viewed, let's say 50,000 times.  If they left them all on there, it would surely take up tons of space, but they are simply replacing with a better one in its place.

Hmm, I just went to my profile page to see which ones you are speaking of, and the barbell one, I believe, is the one for speaking loving to read your hubs form beginning to end and find them engaging as I guess in commenting.   I do not see that one on your profile page now?  So, hmmm.  I don't know about the squiggle line one, other than the little quotations one, and that is that your hubs start discussions in the forums and such, I think, and I still see that one on your hub?  I will take another look at mine to see if I can figure out which squiggle line one to which you are referring.   Okay, if the amount of featured hubs has changed below 50, then it will most likely be taken away.  Or if the amount of followers has gone up or down, then that will change to or possible go away if it has been dropped below the level of receiving the amount required to receive such an accolade?  The first number it looks like is 50 to get the accolade.  All of mine are featured and I just have to 50 featured accolade when I have over 80 featured, so the next number is most likely over 100 or more for that accolade to change.  God bless, Faith Reaper

Meant to say as far as the barbell one, people love to read your hubs from beginning to end and find them engaging.

The accolade that says "people love to read hubs from beginning to end and find them engaging." is a sand clock, or whatever the correct name is...the one you flip it over and the sand falls through...

Wow, If they take them away, I have never noticed such until you mentioning it now.  Hmmm strange!

I guess the barbell one -  people love to read your hubs from beginning to end and find them engaging.- may depend on how long readers spend on your page, I am guessing they have a minimum amount of time to judge it on so the shorter the hub the less likelyhood that this will be earned.
The only one I have noticed appear and dissapear and appear again is the 'This huubber has been helpful flagging hubs and hub hopping' or something to that effect. It shows if I spend time hub hopping but then vanishes if I haven't done any for quite a while.  Can't remember what this looked like though.
No idea what the squigglyt lines are
