   It you could travel in a time machine what year would you go back to?
   
   Going back into the past, not the future. What year would you o back to and why?

   If you went back in time you wouldn't be who you are today and technically unable to answer this question consequently-or at least I would assume?
   LOL regardless If I were to time travel it would be to stop my mom. She (my mother) is in the worst health. She is young although you would guess that. Her illness is taking so much away from her and her away from me. Her health problems or at least this one could of been non existent. So regardless of the fact she did it to herself -- I would sacrifice the world as I know it if it meant giving her a clean bill of health!!
   My apologies if I took a wrong turn in the light hardheartedness of the question. I stopped to think about what if any id change , and there is a bunch , just none that wouldn't  mess up another as life is essentially a domino effect. Except that, that was the only thing i can honestly say I would have no problem altering.

      Travel in Time Machine is easily any child's fantasy.  Each one of us has a child in our inner-self.  So how could I resist answering this question.
      I would like to see the First Flight by Wright Brothers which happened on December 17, 1903.

      sprickita; that is a touching sad comment. I hope that even without the magic of time travel, it will be possible for your mother to make some recovery from her current situation and have a better life, spiritually and physically.

      Perfectly understood sprickita.  The intent of the question was just merely a fantasy as people are intrigued with what they could have seen in the past as an observer. Not to change anything at all about who you are or others.

   Gotta say, I loved my childhood in the 60's and 70's.  Great time without a lot of technology to bog a person down.  We spent a lot of time out of door and with family.  It was such an innocent time.  Definitely one of my favs - not sure I'd want to go further except maybe to the time of Christ - the sermon on the mount.

   I would go back to 1973, the year I graduated from high school and educate myself into a career of some kind. Years of factory life not only does a number on your body over the years, but your not likely to be able to retire with a sizable nest egg either. But I guess even the well-to-do lost plenty when the stock market fell a few years ago. Things we did or did not do in our past does bother our present lives if we choose to believe it or not.

   Imagine stepping back in time with the knowledge you have now? You could "invent" the airplane or the automobile, cure diseases, prevent war, nation build. If you wanted to be a billionaire you could introduce our computer technology, digital camera's. Can we go forward into the future as well?  The possibilities are endless. By carefully examining this question we have a greater appreciation for this moment, especially women and minorities. A trip in the time machine would definitely include  the 1940's to assassinate Adolph Hitler and kiss Tyrone Power.
